Apparel Music is stoked to drop the second EP by Ghosten, and trust, this Danish producer ain’t playin’. This new record, droppin' on November 1, 2024, is all the proof you need that Ghosten’s got that serious talent and creative juice. The EP’s got three amazing tracks, and the lead single “Believe!” -out the 18th of October 2024- already set the vibe right. Now that we’re on this second chapter with Ghosten on AM, we can see the man ain’t about to sit back and coast. He is not here to just ride on past successes or walk the same old path. Ghosten’s out to keep pushing the envelope, throwing down challenges for his listeners with “Believe!” The sound he’s bringing to the table hits you with those nostalgic vibes from the golden days of late '90s Norwegian House, and more broadly, that Scandinavian House flavour. It's packed with rich harmonic breaths, solid, assertive rhythms that pull you straight back to the dance floor, to the heart of the club scene. “Life Is A Multiplayer Game” kicks off the EP with a deep, groove-heavy vibe. It’s like Ghosten’s takin’ you on a journey through a world where life’s a game, and the beat’s the only guide you need. The layers of rhythm and melody intertwine, creating a rich soundscape that’s as complex as life itself—just like in a multiplayer game where you never know what’s coming next. “Love Might” is all about that sensual, late-night energy. Ghosten dials it down just a notch, giving space for the groove to breathe and evolve. This track is soaked in emotional depth, with lush chords and a rolling bassline that feels like it’s pulling you into a warm embrace. Finally, the title track, “Believe!”, rounds off the EP with an anthemic energy that’s undeniable. This one’s got that classic House vibe, with driving rhythms and uplifting harmonies. It’s a track that dares you to believe in the magic of the moment, in the collective experience of losing yourself in the music. Ghosten’s clearly channeling the spirit of a great personal inspiration, with a modern twist that keeps it fresh and vital.

Curitiba-raised, Milan-based Bárbara Boeing is back with Memoir EP, her second release on Toy Tonics.

After many years of digging for dance floor gems and fine-tuning her ear, Bárbara arrived at a point where she felt ready and inspired to make her own music, dropping her debut Brasiliana on Toy Tonics in 2023 - a collection of tracks that did not seek cohesion between themselves but rather aimed to reflect the breadth of sounds and genres that make their way into her DJ sets.

Since then, Bárbara has continued her journey from highly respected selector to music producer and now returns with 4 brand-new colorful and uplifting tracks. This time Bárbara took to the studio to collaborate on two EP tracks with Stump Valley and also reunited with Sam Ruffillo (both of Toy Tonics). The result is a 4 track EP that combines a mixture of 80s and early 90s music with genres that she usually brings in her sets as well as some diverse influences picked up while she was touring in Asia. 

17 years into honing her craft, Bárbara's highly acclaimed DJ sets are always peppered with music from her homeland and across Latin America, and span everything from Balearic, Proto and Italo House, Synth pop, Disco, Zouk, Kwaito and more. 2024 will see Bárbara play at diverse festivals such as Gop Tun and Lost Village as well as make her North America debut, while in recent years she's appeared on the bill at some of dance music's best festivals, such as Polifonic, Melt, Kala, Nuits Sonores, Time Warp, Listen, Lente Kabinet, Dekmantel Selectors and Dekmantel in São Paulo. 

This year she will also be launching her own party, Bárbara Boeing Convida (which means "invites"). As the name suggests, Convida will see her inviting artists she admires to play alongside her in different places around the world with editions already confirmed in cities including Paris, London and Milan. "I just love to bring my music to people," she said. "Showing people music is the thing that makes me the happiest.

We come together once again to showcase Aterral's growth over the last year with an undeniably hard-hitting compilation. Our fourth anniversary VA is special, as it brings forth some of our most recent family members and puts them aside older ones.

As part of CUATRO we bring you Black Loops with 'Balance & Harmony', an elegant blend of eclectic sounds and a jerky guitar wah. Carlo & Baloo follow with 'Best Maldito', a track bursting with an infectious rhythm. Intr0beatz’s 'Where The Party At' delves into ambient depth with rippling synths. Marina Trench delivers 'Because We', featuring a playful piano melody and upbeat energy that pushes boundaries with its lively touch.

Caleb Jackson’s 'The Partylife' fuses high energy, gospel influences, and an acidic bassline. Tatie Dee & Ams contribute 'Underwater', a futuristic, bubbly piece with progressive elements. Emanuele Barilli’s 'Midnight Forty' takes us back to the 90s with a trance-infused, breakbeat house sound that resonates with nostalgia. 'Summer Ending' by Horsemen brings a jazz-swing groove paired with a deep, thumping bassline, perfectly capturing the wistful end-of-summer mood. Airplane Mood & Tali Freeman’s 'Trust' offers a soulful, mystical finale with Khadija as a vocalist, to close off our compilation.

Jovonn exploded onto the house scene in 1991 with his second release, “Turn and Runaway” on Warner Bros  which reached number 10 on the Billboard chart and catapulted Jovonn onto the global House scene.

A pioneer of the NYC, New Jersey, 90’s house sound, he’s produced many classics with releases such as as “Back In the Dark”, “Garage Shelter”, “I Can’t Make Up My Mind”, “I Wanna Go To A Club” that all contain Jovonn’s distinctive vocal delivery and trade mark production, as the man says himself ‘gritty sounds, hard kicks, jazzy chords and a phat bassline’. Other releases in Jovonn’s impressive discography include ‘Something About this Love’ ( WestEnd Records), “The Spirit” album (Track Mode), and the “Blaque House” album on Code Red.  More recently he’s delivered releases on prestigious labels such as Clone, Dogmatik, Objektivity, Deeply Rooted House and Apollonia, showcasing his talents to a new audience of house music lovers.

Jovonn launched his new label  Body N ’ Deep earlier this year via Clone Distribution, dedicated to releasing the hottest deepest and rawest underground house tracks from Jovonn and his crew of producers and vocalists.

‘Timeless’ is Jovonn’s  first since ‘Blaque House’ in 2009.  The album focusses on the deeper side of house and Jovonn’s trademark New Jersey house sound, with contributions by Patrick Mangan (violin) on ‘Hesperia Soul’ and Cassioware on ‘Turnin Me Out’.
