Messechina music was founded in 2006 by Victor Lilov and Yordan Yordanov, a well known managers of Balkan music stars such as the Karandila Gypsy Brass Orchestra, Ivo Papasov and other Bulgarian performers. The Messechina Music production and artists management company is based in Sofia, Bulgaria, and specializes in producing and promoting contemporary Bulgarian music based both on the rich heritage of Balkan traditions and on modern fusions of jazz, world music, electronic &amp; acoustic sounds. Messechina's current portfolio includes Bulgarian artists such as Ivo Papasov and his Wedding Band (winner of 2005 BBC Radio 3 audience award), the Karandila Gypsy Brass Orchestra, Georgi Yanev and the Orpheus Orchestra, the authentic vocal and tambura quartet Korova, Macedonian quasi jazz-ethno-punk-disco-klezmer band Foltin and the wonderful contemporary fusion band Silver Beat Collective.
