Originally released in 1994, ‘Internal Empire’ marks a point of transition for Robert Hood moving on from his previous collaborations within Underground Resistance. Robert Hood advanced uncovering the power of true minimalism. Deep soul through a simplicity that showed how much could be done with so little. The devastating rhythms of this album forge the unmatched spirit of this sound, influencing generations to come.

"25 years ago, I was faced with the challenge of following up on 'Minimal Nation’. I cancelled all my tour dates for that summer, setup my studio in the living room and began to work on 'Internal Empire'. My intention was to create something distinctively different. Berghain favorite Marcel Dettmann has announced a new label, BAD MANNERS. It is the German's second label, having started Marcel Dettmann records in 2006.

The first release - 'BAD MANNERS 2' - is a four-track EP from @exterminador_records, the production and DJ alias of Berlin-based music educator Mario Resta, which is due for release in mid-September.

Ahead of the release, Dettmann and Exterminador have handed over the new EP's lead track 'Bleeding From The Inside' for a premiere. It's a high-octane electro-funk exercise with crisp phasers and metallic vocals that pump the sound through your veins with hardy aggression.

If you can feel a chill in the air it must mean there's more arcane sorcery being cooked up in the Blind Allies labs. This Latvian label are surely providing some of the strongest strains of pitch-black underground electro from lesser known operators in the machine funk catacombs. On this new various artists 12", White Mane Horse and Deputy Bender fire off sleek and sinister rhythms while UHU has a little tongue in cheek fun behind the veil of icy whispered vocals and nervy bleeps on "No Body Knows Electro". Theory Of Noise sound taut and robotic, Olloy keeps things plush but noirish, Rnbws fires off a high-definition sound and Theory Of Noise returns for the simply brilliant "Mission".
