A few years ago my good friend DJ Surebert asked me to write a song to one of his beats to be featured on his solo album...Long story short, Boundaries were crossed, the song didn't make his album and I thought this was lost forever. Until, The Birds Started Bumpin' this from the tree branch outside of my bedroom window.

Before the thought of Griper was even a "Thing," I was in the middle of a personal conflict that required internal battling in order to find my voice, pen ink and lines on the blank pages again that I had grown tired of trying to decorate. A year after my dude Steve was taken from us violently in the Tri-Cities I found myself talking to him and looking for guidance I wasn't sure existed. Sitting on my couch with an acoustic guitar I asked him to help me finally write, create and finish something new I could be proud of and use as my first steps out of darkness. This may sound crazy and impossible, but it felt as if he visited me, grabbed my pen and allowed me to channel him as equally as I was channeling my old self. The end result was this song "Natural Disaster." Its the reason why i was able to write again, get back to my future and accomplish the task of releasing a new album. In my opinion, this is the best song i've ever written and performed. I'm confident nothing will ever rival it's importance to my soul from now until I'm gone. Featuring Jacque Jolene of Copper Mountain Band only made this melody more appealing. The production process i shared with Wade Made and Matt Olsen captured the exact sound I always knew was there. Most importantly the mixing process of Larkin Matoon having to combine the endless tracks we used really made it what it is now. I know this song is for sale with the purchase of Griper at www.traffthewiz.com but I dont have the strength or patience to keep this from the ears of friends and family who I need to hear it most.
