Simon Minay aka Spins showed a keen interest in music from a very early age. With very strong roots deep in the heart of classical music, Simon learned piano, trumpet, and later, harpsichord, as well, which became a favoured instrument. Inspired by listening to his grandfather's organ playing on his father's reel to reel, he attended York Minster Choir from age of 8 where he learned to sing as well.

At the age of 15, Simon fell in love with EDM, after being introduced to the likes of the Prodigy and other Goa/Psy trance sounds. House music followed, and at age 21, he attended Leeds College of Music where he studied Bachelor of Performing Arts degree, majoring in early keyboard music.

Recognising a big link between EDM and classical music, Simon's vision was to fuse the two styles. Early attempts at his own EDM music creations whilst at school in 1994/5  reflect this fusion; and later as well, in 2003, when he obtained his first computer to facilitate further creation.

After a period of slow progress, Simon's musical career has been steadily rising since 2012, when his work was signed by Beating Records & OSS Records Blue & Club G Records.

Truly, the EDM scene is enriched by this amazing sound fusion, and we look forward to hearing more of Simon's unique and beautiful trance style in the future.

Hello everyone! I really don't like talking about myself in the 3rd person...so glad my good lady wrote the above for me then! ^^ :-) I am a classically trained Pianist/Composer/Producer and I also teach piano on a part time basis. 
I have been composing music in various styles since I was age 12, mainly for piano. Since getting my first computer in 2003 (and using an ancient version of Cubase), I have been trying to create my own "trance" music, with mixed results. I am completely self taught when it comes to sequencing and production and I have a lot to learn. I would probably describe most of the tracks uploaded here as Euphoric Trance, with a little bit of classical influence thrown in, although I find it difficult to pidgeon hole most music these days. 
I am inspired by very many different artists and again it is difficult to comment on who or what is really responsible for my inspiration. I've always loved the balearic trance scene (Chicane is one fine example), but also much minimal techno, trance, progressive house/trance, psy trance etc.
I tend to steer away from using samples (apart from the odd percussion riff here and there) and have never used a sampler in my life. The percussion side of my production needs a lot of work. Most of the sounds I use are from various VST instruments and my quite old Yamaha keyboard. I like to use interweaving melodies and arps over flowing bass lines and I often use Robert Miles style piano melodies over the top of my tracks. If you like my muisc, please feel free to leave your feedback, rip open my production techniques, inform me where I am going wrong or sing my praises. Criticism is good!

Though he’s based in Toledo, Ohio, Casey “3pm” Clark’s music has been heard around the world. With nearly fifteen years of experience in the music industry, 3PM is an acclaimed and accomplished self-taught composer, producer, DJ, and musician. 3PM began writing and recording his own music when he was 16. Two years later, he released his first solo album on his own record label which, despite being only his first release, received attention from MTV’s shows Undressed and The Osbournes and a feature in Mixer Magazine, where he was compared to electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk and Orbital. 

Not long after the start of his career, Casey “3pm” Clark met fellow producer and songwriter Caesar Filori, sparking their internet-based collaboration/ electronic pop duo Wideband Network. During the 10+ years since Wideband Network’s start, they’ve recorded three albums and several internationally-released singles. The successful partnership with Caesar Filori inspired Clark strike up virtual collaborations with other musicians around the world, including Kenneth Thomas, The Madison, Serkan Denizer, Subsonik, Christopher Norman, Burufunk, DJ Hashish, DPP, Dean Anthony, Simon J, and State of Mind. These collaborations have received support from the world’s top DJs, including Armin Van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Paul Van Dyk, BT, Gabriel & Dresden, Paul Oakenfold, Tritonal, Marcus Schossow, Gareth Emery, and Markus Schulz.

3PM’s work has been featured in PlayStation Portable and XBOX 360, numerous live performances, songs, and films, including the critically acclaimed White Red Panic (Dimeworth Filmes), Tonight I Strike (Dimeworth Films), Neverland (Alex Albrecht), and Voltron: The End (Alex Albrecht). Casey “3pm” Clark is also a frequent performer at clubs and festivals around Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois.

Currently, Casey “3pm” Clark is looking forward to acting as the opening support for the Grammy-nominated producer and DJ BT at Pontiac, Michigan’s Elektricity on July 25, 2014; acting as DJ for 92.5 KISS FM's “Kiss & Drag” event on August 22, 2014 in Toledo, Ohio; and is planning his world tour of live performances and DJing at festivals.
