“The Way” started with a piano melody and kept unfurling as I healed from the loss of a few loved ones last year…which was capped off with my beautiful family dogs both passing. The lyrics to this song took on their loss, but the whole thing is really an open entry from my own grief process through to happiness again.

The backing piano and title invited me  me to skip across the  the keyboard  to create a flowing melodic journey without any constant specific melody in mind.The fingers went where the mind went???
