Following recent smash Rave Me on Toolroom, house and techno duo PAX return to Solardo’s Sola’s label for new single Voodoo Girl with underground talent Wade also serving up a hefty remix of the original. 

Voodoo Girl marks the PAX’s well overdue second release on Sola, following on from The Power EP in 2017. Boasting eerie voodoo vocals and a grooving drum line, PAX intertwine the realms of house and techno effortlessly. Meanwhile Wade’s remix spirals into a cascade of weighty sub breakdowns amongst warping bleeps set to destruct dancefloors globally. 

Since exploding on the scene back in 2015, Aaron and Charles better known as PAX have risen with originals on the likes of Elrow, Sola, Toolroom, Kaluki, Lost, Roush, WOW and more. Demonstrating themselves as true heavyweights amongst their peers, PAX have racked up notable releases including Beatport no.1 Electric Feel whilst follow up release also hit the no. 1 spot in the Tech House chart. Meanwhile their remixes have created equal success, with their remix on Elrow hitting the no.10 spot on Beatport. With a whole host of releases to be proud of, the support continues to fly in with continued backing from artists The Martinez Brothers, Hot Since 82, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, Steve Lawler as well as receiving support with multiple plays on BBC Radio 1. With more releases and performances to follow this summer as well as becoming 9th Best Selling Artist across all genres on Beatport, PAX are destined for a huge year ahead.

Formerly known as Bini & Martini in the late 90s, Paolo Martini & Gianni Bini have reunited this year for a collaboration in the form of the Eyecode EP on Solardo’s esteemed Sola label.

With many years of experience under their belt, Paolo Martini & Gianni Bini boast a wealth of knowledge, talent and skill in the new EP. Lead track Eyecode is a heavenly slice of tech house, featuring warping synth breakdowns and a captivating vocal hook demonstrating immense production from the pair. Meanwhile, Paolo Martini takes the reins in intricate b side Freaxs weaving amongst cosmic chords and euphoric drum patterns marking an epic debut for both Paolo Martini & Gianni Bini on the Sola label.

As Bini & Martini, the duo have released notable originals including Soul Heaven and Disco Down whilst remixing the monumental Soul Providers – Rise on Azuli Records as well providing official remixes for the likes of Armand Van Helden, Diana Ross and Jamiroquai. As solo artists, Paolo Martini has released on Hot Creations, Repopulate Mars, Moon Harbour and more whilst Gianni Bini’s quality productions have caught the attention of industry innovators including Pete Tong, Sasha, John Digweed among others whilst touring all corners of the globe including South Africa, Mexico, Australia and Singapore. The groove-laden three-track release represents a clear departure from the darker techno
sound of TRICK’s maiden release ‘Watch What Ya Doing’ - further demonstrating Topping’s
versatility as a producer. Kicking off proceedings, the EP’s title track is underpinned by an
infectious vocal sample and the funkiest of beats. While over on the B-side, ‘Let Wa Gan’ is a
darker, moodier number and ‘Galaxy’, featuring the scintillating vocals of Liset Alea, is a
celestial melodic stomper. The collaboration with Liset came about after Topping heard her
vocals on Alex Kid’s ‘Don’t Hide It’. The track quickly became a staple in his sets and he
made the decision to reach out to the Cuban-born singer shortly after.
