Wok Around The Clock

Here's a fun electro swing remix of 'Top Cat', a classic animated sitcom made by Hanna Barbera that ran from 1961-62.

Composed with samples of vocals, dialogue, soundtrack and sound fx from the show; including layers of banjolele, xaphoons, muted trumpets, electric organ and a lot of vintage tape plugins!

‘Help Us Find The Groove’ is a concept plunderphonics album in which the concept is in the title itself; What is my signature sound? 

It’s a personal expression of my experimentation of sampling from various different sources, but also sampling from my interest in improvisation and even some of my own recordings and previous tracks. Overall, it’s conveying the struggles of an artist finding their own sound, even if I’ve personally feel that I’ve found it!

Rust

This track has been on the back burner for a while. 'Gotta Be A Way' samples vocals from Jay Graydon's album 'Airplay For The Planet' which features underrated vocalists like Sherwood Ball and Warren Wiebe. 

Jay Graydon, isn't only a great guitarist; but is also a great songwriter, working with artists such as Al Jarreau, Earth Wind And Fire and Marvin Gaye, Barry White, Aretha Franklin (just to name a few!) In my mind, he's still underrated as a songwriter so check his stuff out!

This track was also composed with synthesisers, keyboards, extra guitars and slap bass, along with some sneaky samples from an unreleased Pogo track!
