July 14th, 2018 marks the 10 year mark for when my mom passed away due to cancer. I wrote this song as if I was talking to her.

Dear Mom, it's been a while.
Ten years. You've been on my mind.
If you could see me what would you say?
Would you be proud would of the man you raised?

You were there on my wedding day,
But you attended in a frame.
I swear I saw you in Dad’s eyes,
I see you there all the time.

I'll hold fast to your legacy and
live for Jesus in humility.
But there’s still days when I wonder why you’re gone.
The family's doing okay, but we're not the same.

This December if you don’t mind
set your eyes on my wife.
As she labors hard to bring
the grandchild I wish you’d meet.

I’ll tell our baby who you were
and how to us you meant the world.
And when they’re all grown and old
They’ll know the mom they never could.

The majority of my songs are dedicated to my mother, Connie Lehman. After a 4 year struggle with cancer she left this earth on July 14th, 2008. Since then every time I try to write things, it ends up being about her. My mission with my music is to empathize with anyone else who is coping or has coped with a tremendous loss. All glory to God.
