BALAM is a musician, producer and DJ from Buenos Aires, Argentina, after a long time working with his indie dance band that allowed him to play in many countries and festivals around the world, he gets all into his new solo project as producer and DJ “Balam” focusing on techno, disco, shamanic beats all produced and recorded in his studio combining real analog synthesizers, like modular synths, moogs with guitars, real and weird percussion sounds creating a unique atmosphere making every track a voyage through the latin american jungle.

At the moment he has two releases, “Chaman EP” released through french label ESTHETIQUE RECORDS (FR) in March 2018, available both digital and cassette, and an “Senderos de Selva” out on April 24 through PLAYGROUND RECORDS (BCN/ARG), plus remixes and a track for the Take Away series for the prestigious label Calypso Records from Iñigo Vontier and Thomas Jackson, a track coming soon for the new Spanish label United Colors of Rhythm, plus remixes for labels like Innisfallen (MX), Control (MX), Nein (UK), Emerald & Doreen (Gr).
In June 2018 he made his first USA mini tour with 2 gigs, one in the prestigious Brooklyn, New York radio “The Lot Radio” and the other one in the well known SAMO Records Night at Jupiter Disco, Brooklyn, New York.

Now he is planning his first Mexican tour with confirmed dates in CDMX, Toluca and Puebla plus more to be confirmed.

His work had been supported by artist like Thomas Von Party, Tronik Youth, Golden Bug, Perel, JP Soul, Curses, Rodion, Freudenthal, Thomass Jackson, Veneno, Clandestino, Local Suicide, Theus Mago, Roman and Castro, Marcos in Dub, James Rod, Colossio, K-effect, Man2.0, Connor, Gabriel Ferreira, Timothy Clerkin, Shit Happens, Owls at Down, Vverses, Facets, Dany Nijensohn, Shubostar, Iñigo Vontier, among others.

‘You Can’ is a track that stares directly into the haze and strobe lights of the transformative night-out documented throughout Gabe Gurnsey’s Physical LP. Undoubtedly one of the record’s most outright hedonistic moments, ‘You Can’ finds Gabe cheekily intoning an invitation to dance, get high, or both.
 
The Hacker continues his recent hot streak with his remix of ‘You Can’. Firmly executed with his usual cyber-militancy, his simple but effective reimagining is littered with elasticated synth stabs, urgent oscillations and an audible desire to transform Gurnsey himself into a man-machine.

In steps, Par Avion into the fabled FH Unsigned series. A safe haven of sonic warmth; for one to enter, listen to a fucking belter, then placidly leave. 'Not Everyone Loves' ensures the feng shui of the series remains in tact, delivering, yes another 'belter' - although, a belter flaunting esteem and class - attributes one can only assume the mysterious Par himself exudes. 

This cut is one that further reminds you that 'putting things in boxes' has no place in 2018 and beyond. Things are no longer as binary as 'yes' or 'no' - if something has two legs, does it mean it's a pair of jeans? If an amusement park on the shore is empty, does it mean it's haunted? If a track flaunts crunchy percussion and a shed load of saturation, does it mean it's Lofi? Babble aside, Par Avion delivers a track of real quality, demonstrating clear production prowess. Consume, share and enjoy.

Hot on the heels of his album ‘R.U.R’ on Boysnoize, DJEDJOTRONIC aka Jérémy Cottereau drops an icy 4 track electro cut for CPU. We knew we wanted to work with Cottereau after hearing his and Maelstrom’s Lost Echoes project (see Maelstrom’s ‘Alph4’ E.P. on CPU).

There’s a clear Drexciyan influence here with plenty of dystopian drama but things are disrupted with the likes of ‘Tunnel’ serving up raw 4/4.
