Multi Culti return with five mind-altering bangers on SOLSTICE II, an appropriately diverse collection of music for the label’s flagship 12” series AXIAL TILT, celebrating cosmic collisions, chaos magick, transcendent dance and inner balance. 

In a watershed moment for the globally-garnered imprint, SHEILA CHANDRA’s ‘RAQS’ gets a licensed rework by ZILLAS ON ACID and it’s a bonafide spine-shaking psychedelic chakra-elevator. Keeping up the energy level but speeding up the tempo, CALYPSO CULT regular, Mexico's INIGO VONTIER shreds out powerful didgeridoo-based peak-time ignition on the A2. FRENZY, already. 

The B-side kicks off with a massive main-room remix of SABABA 5 ‘NASNUSA’ courtesy of Israeli trance-master KINO TODO & DANELZ, chopping the amazingly catchy and beautiful vocals of Japanese vocalist YURIKA into a club-pumping ear-worm. ANDI OTTO brings things back down to the lower tempos Multi Culti is associated with, joining forces with Rwandan dancer and singer EVARISTE KARINGANIRE for a wonky, stompy and most of all unique track. Finally, cult wizard GOLDEN BUG turns in another spooky, subliminal groove, sounding like Toulouse Low Trax having a puff with Aleister Crowley - witchy incantation meets hypnotic beat.

After just over a year-long hiatus from the Earthly Tapes series – the 3rd Chapter is finally upon us. Offering more mind-altering tracks to the series, we welcome 6 new members to the Earthly Measures familia!

We kick things off with ‘Comets (part I & II)’, the first release by ORSO, the new musical project from Jean Dasso AKA Yeahman, stepping into club and drum music. Alongside faster rhythms, he is influenced by UK Break music, African dances and traditional instruments. In the opening track for Earthly Tapes 03, we’re taken through a two chapter journey led by modular melodic loops, old traditional voices samples, ORSO’s own recordings.

We then take a trip to Argentina as we welcome Balam to the EM family, join him as he takes you on a daydream across the Latin-American rainforest where synthesizers and nature collide to make the perfect mix, guided by a voice from the deep jungle. ‘Ensueño’ is a dance-floor tool for both the start and end of the night.

Japanese native Mamazu brings up the tempo for the third track ‘Tombi’. Transporting us to a hypnotic and hedonistic state as delightful aerophones sound with the exotic chant delivering the feeling of a dry breeze from the unseen frontier. Another dance floor ripper!

The B-side starts with ‘Voces’, a track inspired by the music that Chilean artist DJ Raff’s mum listened to when he was a teenager making beats in his bedroom. He used to take her records and tapes to sample and make boom-bap beats at the time. Every time he showed her a new beat, she had the ability to recognize the track that he sampled. Voces is influenced by both Spanish and Chilean 70’s music, although very deconstructed and hidden.

Ditti takes us through ever-twisting waves as we swim upstream, spot the time and take off... welcome to ‘Poly Party’. The soundtrack to a carnivalesque funked out ballad on a Polynesian beach shifting between slide & ride, cutting synths and dripping flows.

We wrap things up with ‘Small Town Rebellion’, a story told by Scottish producer Kusht – this downtempo chugger reflects the story of a young man in a dead-end town with no future. He needs to break his fate and carve his own path by revolting and manifesting his own destiny.

The group would join together in spiritual unity to chant, sing, dance and praise the one who looked down upon them from above. They had become accustomed to the ritual of the Cape Malay prayer, it was a humbling poem, a recital of peace, hope and strength. It was their very call to the one most high. Good things would come to them, they simply had to wait, for now. 

Following the release of 'Theory Of Flo' on Huntleys & Palmers, Auntie Flo is remixed on a new three track EP by Mehmet Aslan.

Last years SVS residency took place in Budapest at 4DSOUND's "Spatial Sound Institute", where SVS artists from LA, NY, Osaka, Seoul, Berlin, London,Tel Aviv and Munich worked for 10 days preparing a showcase on the 4DSOUND system.
During rehersals for the Showcase, Beni Brachtel alias Bartellow (Tambien from Public Possession fame) met Gr◯un⼟ alias Daichi Furukawa for the first time in the Studio. Three tracks just appeared out of nowhere. Not a single obstacle in the way of the production. During three long nightshifts, the tracks emerged out of a continuous great vibe. Always joined by several artists from the SVS family, it became the soundtrack for a very special event. Beni San and Daichi San will play a release tour through Japan in April.

Coco Fantasma takes its name from the forthcoming coconut and ghost pepper salsa that the Canadian-Mexican duo have cooked up. For real. Mouth harp, tribal drumming, and a haunted flute hook make for a low-key floor-filler for the slow-mo house DJs and global neo-shamanic cult builders alike.
Amor Modular takes the familiar Cumbia groove into new territory with a modular synth riff, tight Latina voices take the heat up to 11 and once again, the Salsito’s trademark flute hook brings a perfectly dosed hit of folklorica.

New release from the label "Le Temps Perdu". STATUE is a mysterious percussion-based structure erected by Tom Gould.  With origins behind a drum kit laying down the foundations in cult Melbourne bands "NO ZU" and "World’s End Press", STATUE has become an evolving stand-alone project. 
Commissioned by Le "Temps Perdu", "Solidify" delves further into the hypnotic percussive groove of STATUE. With its feet firmly fixed on the dance floor "Solidify" manages to cover a lot of ground. With left of center remixes by "Zombies in Miami" and Christian S, this EP redefines the space, which STATUE occupies.
