~ Nico Lahs [Italy] ~

Nicola Loporchio a.k.a. simply Nico Lahs is an accomplished and voracious producer from South Italy, who has been comfortably killing the game for more than 10 years now. Thankfully inheriting from his father’s musician background, which encompassed jazz, hip-hop and anything from Chicago, Detroit and New York, his signature sound naturally headed towards unadulterated deep house-centric jams combined with soulful grooves and atmospheric dreamy vibes. His first musical rise started in 2010 as it didn’t take very long for some respected labels such as Ovum (Josh Wink) and Poker Flat (Steve Bug) to notice him.  Until 2015, he was going on a European club crawl, distilling his house magic in the most prestigious venues like Club de Visionare, Tresor or Rex Club. The following 5 years marked a break from the ‘Nico Lahs’ project as he has been focusing on developing his other Cosmic Garden alias and his vinyl-only-related label Cosmic Rhythm. The past 2 years showed his long-awaited come back with his stately Detroit-influenced LP “Freedom” and his splendid disco edits in collaboration with Chez Damier, both on Pekin-based label Adeen Records.

The special mixtape he is serving up today for us features lots of delicious unreleased tracks from himself and his various side projects such as NLXLB. It merely breathes and exudes house music in its purest form with deep and raw notes. Close your eyes and enjoy.
