BLIND I

is a social purveyor of vanguard taste, using the stimulants of music, media, and creativity to indulge the senses. As a boutique music blog, Blind I was created with one single aim: to promote freshness. We pride ourselves on creating a portal to discover the freshness factor--holding ﬁrmly to our quality over quantity mantra.

From our inception in 2006 to our current status in 2010 with representatives in New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and the San Francisco Bay Area, we have built a rapport with the tastemakers in each city to provide our fans with a well-rounded presentation of the Blind I vision. We are inﬂuential in many areas of entertainment; highlighting exclusive music and superb style at events nationwide.

Through our Blind I Music Boutique Series, we’ve hosted Pac Div, Blu, Wale, ?uestlove, Sonnymoon, Peter Hadar, Tabi Bonney, Tanya Morgan, Quadron and others for concerts in each city. Our Artist Spotlight roster includes interviews with artists like Bilal, J*DaVeY, The Foreign Exchange and Francis & The Lights. This year, we made our oﬃcial SXSW debut with our jam-packed Quality Showcase ﬁlled with concertgoers for six hours.

We update the site continuously and each staﬀ member posts monthly music compilations, which spread virally and get thousands of downloads. Our signature Blind I stamp has nabbed the blogroll of Kanye West among others and massive support from the music community.

Blind I is a multimedia corporation designed and operated by connoisseurs of all backgrounds. The company stands as a symbol for the ingenuity of young professionals and as a salute to excellence through a display of natural style & grace.

I'm DJ Ayr 1, I specialize in house music in various forms from soulful vocal house, Deep house, Jackin house, Gospel Uplifting house and Disco House. I grew up listening to rare groove soul and disco from the 80's and the great thing about House is that it contains so many elements and samples that do justice to soul music. I was really into 4 to the Floor Garage which started to die in 97/98 and morphed into 2 step Garage which I didn't like, so I made the switch to House music which had a similar sound to 4 to the Floor and the rest was history! On the house scene I'm Influenced by the likes of Bobby & Steve, Reelsoul, DJ Sneak, MAW, Mr V, Smokingrooves and many more who I have listened to over the years. My aim is to keep house alive!
