Immy is a lifelong student of music history with a deep love for New York’s scenes between 1969 and 1999, especially disco and house at spaces like The Loft and Paradise Garage. Her sets move freely through ambient, soul, funk, disco, reggae, house, techno, electro, hardcore and progressive trance. Believing in the dance floor as a healing space, she often weaves in acapellas to shape her storytelling.

This mix was recorded during a short stop in Berlin between System Activate and Draaimolen Festival. Immy selected rave classics, progressive house, breakbeats and euphoric tracks, imagining a forest rave as the backdrop. It’s a little rougher and faster than her usual sound, carrying the energy of the moment.

Tresor Records announces the first-ever reissue of Drexciya’s 'Fusion Flats' 12” vinyl, including remixes from Detroit’s Octave One, Kaotic Spatial Rhythms and 043 Chaos. 

Originally released in the wake of Drexciya’s seminal 1999 Tresor debut album 'Neptune’s Lair', this release marks its long-awaited return and first appearance on digital platforms. The remastered edition contains the original extended version of Fusion Flats and features new artwork by Detroit-based contemporary artist Matthew Angelo Harrison, whose reimagined covers continue to shape the Drexciya reissue series. 

25 years later, Fusion Flats returns to the constellation of Drexciya’s Tresor works, connecting their debut full-length to further explorations that continue to inspire generations.

Para el capítulo 13 de los Rhythm Control Barcelona Mixes tenemos el mix que el salmantino Lowsystem regaló a una amiga en su cumpleaños hace unos meses. Muchos de los discos del set proceden de Rhythm Control y conforman una selección de techno clásico donde pueden apreciarse claramente las influencias de las que nos habla en la siguiente entrevista. Mario lleva 8 años viviendo en Barcelona y desde hace ya tiempo es de los DJs de techno más relevantes de la ciudad, aunque desde hace un tiempo pincha a menudo en Asturias. El día de la publicación de este mix coincide con la salida de su nuevo EP "Echoes Of The Mind", publicado por el sello madrileño Trauma Collective y del que pronto habrá copias en la tienda. Puedo corroborar su obsesión por los discos como coleccionista, así como su fidelidad a ellos cuando actúa como DJ.
-¿Qué música escuchabas antes de la electrónica y cuándo te interesaste por ella?
-Escuchaba mucho rock en casa, sobre todo por mi madre. Mi grupo favorito era Extremoduro, y luego fui conociendo rock internacional —en esa época me encantaba Nirvana.
La música electrónica la descubrí hace 26 años en una tienda de vinilos en Salamanca, por el CD mix de Óscar Mulero "About Discipline and Education". Me impactó muchísimo. El chico de la tienda me dijo que escuchara el programa de radio de Sonia Briz, y desde la primera vez no me perdí ninguno. Lo escuchaba por las noches con un viejo walkman; tenía 14 años. Recuerdo que la segunda sesión fue de Surgeon, y desde ahí empecé a grabar cintas y a escuchar techno todo el día.
-¿Cómo empezaste a pinchar? ¿Y a hacer música? ¿Primeros sitios donde pinchaste?
-Empecé por todo lo que te contaba antes. Sobre los 15 años ya quería hacerlo. Empecé a ir a clubs y conocí a un amigo que tenía su equipo, me enseñó un poco y enseguida compré el mío.
Con la música empecé también al poco tiempo, trasteando con Fruity Loops, aunque lo que más me gustaba era pinchar. Los primeros sitios donde toqué fueron en Salamanca, y luego ya en Zeus, en Medina del Campo.
-¿Qué tres bolos que hayas hecho desde que eres DJ dirías que son tus favoritos y por qué?
-Te diría tres por épocas.
En los 2000, una sesión en Zeus de Medina del Campo con Ben Sims. Otra, el cierre del club Zeus —era residente de la parte de arriba y toqué toda la noche. Fue increíble: el club estaba lleno y abajo estaban British Murder Boys y Óscar Mulero. Y otra, la primera vez que toqué en Lanna, donde hice la apertura y el cierre con Regis y Christian Wünsch.
-Como clubber, ¿cuáles son tus clubes o festis favoritos?
-Los clubs de la escena de los 2000 en Castilla y León, que tenían un ambiente increíble y pasaban los mejores DJs internacionales: Zeus, After, Aries, Camarote...
Por supuesto, Berghain. En cuanto a festivales, te diría Dekmantel, Parallel y Lanna Festival.

randomDisco DJ set on RIOT - 10th October 2025

At midnight, on March 13th 1991, a basement door opened at Leipziger Strasse 126, Berlin. Through this door, many passed, on their way to defining new terrains in electronic music. There they found a dance floor in the vaults of a closed-down department store, with a unique sound bound to dense fog, building night after night a history that was also a vision of the future. 

This history has seen in Jeff Mills’ first sets on three turntables, Underground Resistance's first live appearances in Europe, grandiose Tresor Park parties, to various chapters of the Loveparade with Sven Väth in the 90s and since then countless generation-spanning parties. These moments represent the highlights of infinite personal clubbing experiences. It is the manifestation of the Berlin spirit, emerging from its considerable strife. This history is not without its complications - from temporary closure by the authorities and several raids in the early years to closure and demolition of the old location in 2005. What followed was years of wandering in exile and, finally, resurrection in the new home in Kraftwerk Berlin.

These stories, conversations and shared experiences within our walls forge a resilience that drives towards a shared ideal, the Tresor sound: community, resistance, and the world to come. This was observed in the newly re-unified German youth, who danced and celebrated together from the club’s inception, and into the present day through ongoing community work in Detroit. 

Tresor Records was founded in the same year and began to serve as a platform for exporting the new sounds associated with Tresor all around the world. Emergent musicians from Michigan, such as Juan Atkins, Underground Resistance and Drexciya, were pivotal in shaping these early years. Their visits to Berlin would kick-start dialogue between the youth movement in Europe and these musicians. This story is one of friendship and community-building, inextricably linked with cities like Detroit, Birmingham or Edinburgh, where like-minded friends built something truly special, where revelatory rhythms soundtrack decaying industry in corrupted metropoles. 

Tresor Records has been the fertile soil for dozens upon dozens of creative minds, from the very luminaries of the scene who developed electronic music over the last three decades through to contemporary protagonists who are currently defining the sound of the future -  A more than 300 strong catalogue displays an unmistakable identity - the Tresor spirit.

To those that have danced before, and to those that will dance in the future: the light at the end of the long Tresor tunnel is a signal. A flicker amidst the fog. This is our future. This is our place.
