Since 1991, Tresor has provided a home for artists to develop their ideas for advanced new sounds and broadcast them to the world. The pioneers that first traversed the Detroit-Berlin connection and were at the forefront of a new cultural movement gave to Tresor its original and continuing mission: community, resistance and reshaping the world to come.

The Tresor 30 compilation represents a major landmark in this continuing history of electronic music. This unique collection of music profiles some of the artists that gave the previous three decades of Tresor its sound and foundation, but it also casts its gaze forward. Writing new postcards from the future, this collection brings new artists who maintain a connection to that original mission to the fore, charting ways in which this ethos can continue to build bridges and break walls in the next 30 years.

Bringing together 52 essential tracks - both classics and exclusive commissions - each of the 12 records in this box-set charts a unique line of flight from those artists that helped define the shape of this new music to those who continue to pattern its landscape further.

A homage to her experiences in the Ballroom community, Myst Milano's 'No Shade' was originally released in 2021 to critical acclaim. Inspired by vocalists like Moi Renee and Rageous who pioneered 'Bitch House', Polish duo Catz 'n Dogz now rework the sultry original into fully-fledged club heater 'Feed My Hunger (No Shade)'. Upping the tempo while weaving in a heavier bassline and erupting percussion, this is club music at its boldest, brightest and with just the right amount of attitude.

Hot on the heels of his recent club smash, “The Attention Deficit Track,” Skream returns to CircoLoco Records with longtime collaborator Jansons for a breakbeat-fueled instant classic, “World Is Empty.” Centered around an irresistible sample from none other than The Supremes, the track deploys a driving electro bassline and nostalgic synth pads as it builds to an emotional vocal breakdown. 

“World Is Empty” from Skream and Jansons follows on from recent CircoLoco Records releases, “NYWTF” from Chloé Caillet featuring Mikhail Beltran, “IZA” from Map.ache, and “On My Own Now” from DJ Tennis & Ashee featuring Lady Donli.

Up next on the frenetic Scottish imprint Craigie Knowes is the Manchester-based DJ-producer No Moon who makes his return to the label with a remarkable three-track EP titled 'Where Do We Go From Here'.

Ahead of the release, No Moon has handed over the EP cut 'Breakpoints' - a roomy and cosmic electro driver packed with badass breaks and robotic voices.

Premiere: No Moon 'Breakpoints'

Cabizbajo was raised in the infamous, cartel-run city of Culiacan in northwestern Mexico. There was little to no local music scene growing up, but he learned guitar, before going to to sax, drums, vocals and keys, becoming obsessed with synths. Now he travels the world while holding down a residency at his own Rotate party at Bar Americas and has put out his brilliantly inventive disco sounds on NEIN, Logical and Phisica amongst others.
The fantastic title track is a deep and journeying cut with shimmering vocals and sustained pads all colouring in the airwaves above a moody, mysterious bassline. It’s an intriguing opener that gets remixed by Mexican mainstay Dan Solo who works with Tecnicolor Fabrics, Sabino, Xato and as Supercontinent with Thomass Jackson, Theus Mago and Juan Soto. HIs remix is darker and more freaky, with sleazy drum slaps and a rugged bass riff bringing the tension.
Cabizbajo then offers ‘Don’t Wanna Be Cool’, a loose and colourful, tripped out, deep disco jam with vocoder vocals bringing a future retro feel while majestic pads and keys rain down from the cosmos. ‘Cueva’ is the final original, built on a dirty, rugged bassline with all sorts of raw hits and sweeping pads bringing a twisted disco vibe.
Die Jungle is the breakout talent of the year who remixes here after making some serious dance floor killers, reaching the Beatport charts and getting plenty of support along the way. His version is a real chugger, with rock licks and prying bass that really locks you into the groove and will win over the likes of Andrew Weatherall and the ALFOS crew.
This is a fantastic disco offering that brings new life, sounds and styles to the genre.

Cabizbajo - Cane Robbers

At midnight, on March 13th 1991, a basement door opened at Leipziger Strasse 126, Berlin. Through this door, many passed, on their way to defining new terrains in electronic music. There they found a dance floor in the vaults of a closed-down department store, with a unique sound bound to dense fog, building night after night a history that was also a vision of the future. 

This history has seen in Jeff Mills’ first sets on three turntables, Underground Resistance's first live appearances in Europe, grandiose Tresor Park parties, to various chapters of the Loveparade with Sven Väth in the 90s and since then countless generation-spanning parties. These moments represent the highlights of infinite personal clubbing experiences. It is the manifestation of the Berlin spirit, emerging from its considerable strife. This history is not without its complications - from temporary closure by the authorities and several raids in the early years to closure and demolition of the old location in 2005. What followed was years of wandering in exile and, finally, resurrection in the new home in Kraftwerk Berlin.

These stories, conversations and shared experiences within our walls forge a resilience that drives towards a shared ideal, the Tresor sound: community, resistance, and the world to come. This was observed in the newly re-unified German youth, who danced and celebrated together from the club’s inception, and into the present day through ongoing community work in Detroit. 

Tresor Records was founded in the same year and began to serve as a platform for exporting the new sounds associated with Tresor all around the world. Emergent musicians from Michigan, such as Juan Atkins, Underground Resistance and Drexciya, were pivotal in shaping these early years. Their visits to Berlin would kick-start dialogue between the youth movement in Europe and these musicians. This story is one of friendship and community-building, inextricably linked with cities like Detroit, Birmingham or Edinburgh, where like-minded friends built something truly special, where revelatory rhythms soundtrack decaying industry in corrupted metropoles. 

Tresor Records has been the fertile soil for dozens upon dozens of creative minds, from the very luminaries of the scene who developed electronic music over the last three decades through to contemporary protagonists who are currently defining the sound of the future -  A more than 300 strong catalogue displays an unmistakable identity - the Tresor spirit.

To those that have danced before, and to those that will dance in the future: the light at the end of the long Tresor tunnel is a signal. A flicker amidst the fog. This is our future. This is our place.
