The charm of exploration leads to cinematic echoes that fuse rattling break drums and synergetic nuances, creating a sphere of ancestral musical paths in which a poly-form stylistics gives a recognisable imprint to 'Foreshadow', Marco Bruno's new album that embarks on a new sonic exploration and delves into the meanders of research with an abysmal attention to detail, a significant project in the evolution of the artist and his Evighet Records label. For this release, two veterans such as James Ruskin and Mark Broom, with their alias The Fear Ratio, set in time their experience, masterfully reinterpreting that pivotal feeling of free expression that reigns at the heart of the project.

Tresor Records is fortunate enough to be sitting on a catalogue of past releases that no other label in electronic music would turn down.
Three of the finest in this collection were contributed by Surgeon "Basictonalvocabulary", "Balance" and "Force + Form", which all came out between 1997 and 1999.

Surgeon's inimitable combination of Detroit techno and post-industrial sounds emanating from his British homeland found its fullest expression in these masterful trio of releases.

Following the release of Surgeon's first album in 5 years "Crash Recoil" earlier in 2023, Tresor Records have decided that it is high time to give these seminal albums another airing.

XOR Gate is the brainchild of Heinrich Mueller, one half of Drexciya and Dopplereffekt.

In linguistic or electronic logic, the XOR Gate designates a device, digital or grammatical, which outputs a value only when two differing inputs are fed into it. This can be summed up with the formula "one or the other but not neither, nor both."

A conic section is a shape created as a plane intersects a cone. This can result in different figures such as a circle, an ellipse, a parabola or a hyperbola. Conic Sections is here composed of eight themes, or shapes, over which waveform and synthesis entirely merge with human emotions. The line is blurred. These eight themes are intertwined, forming one long musical string. The line is forever blurred.

Conic Sections was commissioned by ArtCenter South Florida in Miami, for the AN IMAGE exhibit.

ORBIT Series #006 - Eluzid

Trans activist, visual artist, filmmaker and eternal music lover, @dian3k started mixing thanks to the creation of Roue Libre after-party collective. Subsequently, she participated in the creation of Queer Working Class Heroes, Pollypocket, and became a resident at Toyz parties.

Firstly playing ambient music, Diane then crafted her musical path that she discovered in Berlin, which is about Deep-house / Minimal / Micro / Mental house. 
While playing, she takes you on a train with no destination.

Through her sets and events she curates in the Paris region, she's spreading the idea of ​​free celebration, providing human scale events accessible to all.
The party is political and the dance floor is a demonstration.

GUEST SERIES : Diane

At midnight, on March 13th 1991, a basement door opened at Leipziger Strasse 126, Berlin. Through this door, many passed, on their way to defining new terrains in electronic music. There they found a dance floor in the vaults of a closed-down department store, with a unique sound bound to dense fog, building night after night a history that was also a vision of the future. 

This history has seen in Jeff Mills’ first sets on three turntables, Underground Resistance's first live appearances in Europe, grandiose Tresor Park parties, to various chapters of the Loveparade with Sven Väth in the 90s and since then countless generation-spanning parties. These moments represent the highlights of infinite personal clubbing experiences. It is the manifestation of the Berlin spirit, emerging from its considerable strife. This history is not without its complications - from temporary closure by the authorities and several raids in the early years to closure and demolition of the old location in 2005. What followed was years of wandering in exile and, finally, resurrection in the new home in Kraftwerk Berlin.

These stories, conversations and shared experiences within our walls forge a resilience that drives towards a shared ideal, the Tresor sound: community, resistance, and the world to come. This was observed in the newly re-unified German youth, who danced and celebrated together from the club’s inception, and into the present day through ongoing community work in Detroit. 

Tresor Records was founded in the same year and began to serve as a platform for exporting the new sounds associated with Tresor all around the world. Emergent musicians from Michigan, such as Juan Atkins, Underground Resistance and Drexciya, were pivotal in shaping these early years. Their visits to Berlin would kick-start dialogue between the youth movement in Europe and these musicians. This story is one of friendship and community-building, inextricably linked with cities like Detroit, Birmingham or Edinburgh, where like-minded friends built something truly special, where revelatory rhythms soundtrack decaying industry in corrupted metropoles. 

Tresor Records has been the fertile soil for dozens upon dozens of creative minds, from the very luminaries of the scene who developed electronic music over the last three decades through to contemporary protagonists who are currently defining the sound of the future -  A more than 300 strong catalogue displays an unmistakable identity - the Tresor spirit.

To those that have danced before, and to those that will dance in the future: the light at the end of the long Tresor tunnel is a signal. A flicker amidst the fog. This is our future. This is our place.
