This release marks the label`s second physical release, out on 23/09 and available on wax as part of a limited 50-unit run, lathe cut by PhonoLab.

Usury is the shared project of Eora/Sydney’s Cobber, who fronts local label Impetus, and Selfness resident Sumaele, a friendship built across cities and through a shared appreciation for late 90s hard groove and early 00s techno. Charge utilises tribal perc samples and compression pumping offering an insight into the techno/trance they enjoy most on domestic dance floors.

Yazzus follows up her appearance on the Tresor 30 compilation with a new EP named BLACK METROPOLIS. Within its, at times, rough-hewn textures lies a core that explores joy and energy within the roots of black techno. In her words: "I want this release to be black and beautiful, to be queer, and playful, a nostalgic nod to the 90s but also reimagining it in the current times."

The Ghana-born, London-bred, now Berlin-based producer's research into afro-futurism, envisaging a path forward for science, technology and culture through the black experience, has impressed a deep vision on this EP. Yazzus sets like a cartographer, using her tracks to explore a technologically advanced world, each representing different regions and environments.

Human Error Processor introduces an ear-worming percussion pattern nearly swamped by distorted bass drums and a vocal sample screwed just beyond recognition. Perforated leads with a 150bpm four to the floor stomp, infectious and supercharged. Gluey synth motions soak in an otherworldliness, where industrious, mechanical rhythms map out futurist structures in all directions.

Metro City Bay Area exhibits a ghettotech soul, lean and bouncy - this part of the galaxy is an infinite source of fun, with the heart of groove at its core. Three Deities brings adventurers of its region towards higher powers, its ravey synths and an engulfing bass provoke a complete NRG release, ascending into a spiritual trance where dense melodies bubble and fizz. Digital-only track United By Fate meddles busy vocal samples with searching melodies, a fitting end to the kaleidoscopic that is BLACK METROPOLIS.

Hyperaktivist - Try Again

The German FM synthesis wizard Luca Daniel Schwarz aka LDS (https://soundcloud.com/ldstechno) presents his upcoming release 'algo5' on the Berlin label Blue Hour Music (https://soundcloud.com/bluehour909). The EP captures a wide range of sonic ground with an innovative and futuristic edge, like our trembling and thrilling premiere pick: ‘Vone’.

After head-turning releases on Transatlantic and Monnom Black, the mysterious LDS now drops a versatile record full of playful loops, experimental beats and virtuoso melody lines. Being “currently or forever on research”, as the artist puts it, LDS is able to arouse his listeners while making them search for visionary perspectives and new meanings of music at the very same time.

‘Vone’ is the second track of the bursting B-side that propels some dynamic and cracking rhythms through the ether.

Ute.Rec and Amniote Editions team up once again, for another collaborative fundraiser release. With 16 tracks, spanning from psychedelic and melodic scanditrance to trippy and tribal techno cuts.

All the proceeds for the compilation will be donated to Bridges over Borders. A community-based collective aiming to support BIPoC, LGBTQIA+, and other marginalised individuals fleeing the war in Ukraine.

Amniote Editions team up with friends and bbs of Mala Junta for “The Collective Capsule” - a celebration of 5 years of Berlin's favorite queer event. The capsule collection consists of a 12” cordially made up of 4 belters from the residents Hyperaktivist, Yazzus, DJ Tool and D.Dan, two compilations stacked with friends and lovers and limited merch. 

The capsule also launches Amniote Editions’ return to graphic design studio Alexis Mark, who were part of the birthing of the platform and now presents their first cover design as a multilayer 12” gift - a record wrapped in a beautiful poster protected by a limited edition screen printed PVC sleeve.

The Collective capsule emerges on Amniote Editions on 16th June with vinyl and digital via our Bandcamp and distribution through Triple Vision.

My Ship

At midnight, on March 13th 1991, a basement door opened at Leipziger Strasse 126, Berlin. Through this door, many passed, on their way to defining new terrains in electronic music. There they found a dance floor in the vaults of a closed-down department store, with a unique sound bound to dense fog, building night after night a history that was also a vision of the future. 

This history has seen in Jeff Mills’ first sets on three turntables, Underground Resistance's first live appearances in Europe, grandiose Tresor Park parties, to various chapters of the Loveparade with Sven Väth in the 90s and since then countless generation-spanning parties. These moments represent the highlights of infinite personal clubbing experiences. It is the manifestation of the Berlin spirit, emerging from its considerable strife. This history is not without its complications - from temporary closure by the authorities and several raids in the early years to closure and demolition of the old location in 2005. What followed was years of wandering in exile and, finally, resurrection in the new home in Kraftwerk Berlin.

These stories, conversations and shared experiences within our walls forge a resilience that drives towards a shared ideal, the Tresor sound: community, resistance, and the world to come. This was observed in the newly re-unified German youth, who danced and celebrated together from the club’s inception, and into the present day through ongoing community work in Detroit. 

Tresor Records was founded in the same year and began to serve as a platform for exporting the new sounds associated with Tresor all around the world. Emergent musicians from Michigan, such as Juan Atkins, Underground Resistance and Drexciya, were pivotal in shaping these early years. Their visits to Berlin would kick-start dialogue between the youth movement in Europe and these musicians. This story is one of friendship and community-building, inextricably linked with cities like Detroit, Birmingham or Edinburgh, where like-minded friends built something truly special, where revelatory rhythms soundtrack decaying industry in corrupted metropoles. 

Tresor Records has been the fertile soil for dozens upon dozens of creative minds, from the very luminaries of the scene who developed electronic music over the last three decades through to contemporary protagonists who are currently defining the sound of the future -  A more than 300 strong catalogue displays an unmistakable identity - the Tresor spirit.

To those that have danced before, and to those that will dance in the future: the light at the end of the long Tresor tunnel is a signal. A flicker amidst the fog. This is our future. This is our place.
