Taken from the forthcoming new album 'False Idols' released on False Idols in association with !K7 Records internationally on 27.05.13 and in the USA on 28.05.13.

Tricky is back. Back with a new album "False Idols". 

The first single, 'Does It', sets the tone. It's a brooding throb of muscular bass, moody handclaps and Tricky's dystopian lyrics. It's ominous, a dark vision of the world that asks why people aren't more angry about the status quo. "People will either get it or not get it," says Tricky. "It's meant to be felt as well as heard - it's primal. Whether people get it or not, the fact is, compared to the over-produced, over marketed stuff out there, it's a wake-up call."

'Does It' is accompanied by a hard-hitting video, which debuted on the Rolling Stone website in March. The imagery is of social unrest, crowds clashing with the police and a troubled Tricky murmuring his lines. It's clearly a political statement. As is the name of his record label, like the album called False Idols. 'Does It' is the first release. 

It's a new start for Tricky. Not that he cares if it works, or if people like it. "I don't give a fuck," he says. "This new album I'll stand behind every track. I don't care whether people like it. I'm doing what I want to do, which is what I did with my first record. That's what made me who I was in the beginning. If people don't like it, it don't matter to me because I'm back where I was."

Back where he belongs.

Music...my therapy...my serenity...it keeps me alive..:) As I have made my way thru this journey and thing called life, I have been blessed to have lived and traveled thru many countries all over the world and I have learned and found music not only to be my sanctuary, but embodies my being, my very essence, heart and soul, right down to my very core. I have been working on a dream of mine for some time of bringing to life my online lifestyle magazine and app to boot comprising of the many much needed, loved, celebrated and embraced aspects of this life and world we all share and indulge in to keep our sanity and thrive inside our dreams and passions. I have dreamed and wanted to create a place where people can evolve emotionally and spiritually, tap in to all of their senses, discover new adventures, people and experiences. A place that encourages people to share and seek new pleasures, interests and people from all over the world. An open-minded space where all individuals, cultures, sexuality, pleasures and entities can come and be free, share and learn not only more about themselves, but also from the many others who come to visit. I am very close to launching my project and site, as of right now appears to be by early fall and am always seeking out new and interesting, talented, passionate, interesting and unique people and subjects who may be wanting or looking for a new place and platform for their passions and interests that they would like to share.  Music, Art,  Photography, Travel,  Architecture,  Sports, Tattoos/Body Work/Fitness and meeting intriguing, intelligent and stimulating people are by far my biggest passions, interests and loves, Music in all forms and the many artistic individuals that create, produce and share their divine visions of music, have not only inspired me on every level, but have saved me during a storm and brought me from the very darkest depths of despair and times of true sadness and darkness, and delivered me to the light and to the surface where I finally am able to breathe and have hope again. Music has also embraced me and fed my mood in a moment in time as well as motivate my spirit and feed my burning fires for living my life to it's fullest with no surrender to or fear of what may be lurking around the corner of life.  Countless times I have found myself thanking a higher power for music's very existence, but especially feeling grateful and so very appreciative for music's many amazing creators.
