Audacity has been in the house music scene  in and around Vancouver for over 15yrs. Originally a turntablist, he’s now added digital software to his repertoire.

His beginnings in house/techno in Vancouver started in the underground scene. Warehouse parties was were this DJ began, progressing to larger venues around the city, and then eventually touring across Canada, and Central America. 

His music can only be described as Audacious.

 With decades of experience behind the decks, Khan's unique sonic identity draws inspiration from Middle Eastern melodies and a spectrum of House and Bass genres. From the pulsating depths of Deep Dubstep to the infectious grooves of Trance, Progressive, Funky, Deep and Bass House, his sets are a testament to his wide-ranging musical expertise. Yet, it's the intricate infusion of traditional Middle Eastern elements, juxtaposed with the raw machine energy of electronic music, that truly sets him apart. This energetic contrast spins a sound narrative, moving from profound soulfulness to grooves that captivate and compel dancers to surrender entirely to the rhythm.

 Inspired by the boundary-pushing sounds of Sasha, John Digweed, and Widdler, Khan has graced prestigious events like Shambhala, Electric Love and Basscoast. He's held residencies with collectives like Beheshto Productions and Area709, showcasing his ability to ignite dance floors with diverse, yet always captivating, soundscapes.

 Whether delving into Tech rhythms, exploring the soulful side of Progressive, or unleashing the energy of Bass House or Trance, Khan's music is more than a collection of tracks. It's a sonic journey woven with cultural threads, inviting listeners to lose themselves in an immersive auditory experience where the organic and the electronic dance in harmony.

To date Khan has ecstatically shared the stage with artists such as, Widdler, Merkaba / Kalya Scintilla, Bird of Pray, Ill Gates, Infected Mushrooms, Delhi to Dublin, Kaminanda, David Starfire, GOVINDA,  Adham Sheikh and Blue Lunar Monkey.

What started as a renegade gathering in the Mojave has blossomed into a movement celebrating love, life, and music. With the annual Desert Hearts Festival holding down the roots of the movement while the DH Crew circles the globe, Desert Hearts Records provides the soundtrack as our family spreads as much love and positive energy as humanly possible. Xavier's passion and dedication towards his artistry as a DJ is undeniable. For over two decades, his infectious energy and sincere authentic love for music have driven him forward as an artist. Throughout his twenties, Xavier’s focus was purely Breakbeats; nothing could pull his attention. As he moved through the decade, his tastes shifted, and eventually, the magnetism of House music could no longer be ignored. Once cemented in the confidence of his newfound love for House, everything came into focus and his purpose became clear.

From his countless nights early on, sharing the stage at Hush Nightclub - a queer-forward, underground safe-haven, with top-shelf electronic acts such as Alex Metric, Stanton Warriors, or Nora En Pure; to travelling deep into the BC backcountry on a Saturday night to perform - sometimes for only a handful of ravers; to dragging a 50 pound bag of vinyl up a fight of stairs in the suburbs; to playing sold-out shows, opening for artists like Chris Lake, AC Slater, or Justin Martin, it didn't matter to Xavier, because it meant that he could share his love for the music. Wherever he was: outdoors, indoors, a club, a basement, a farmhouse, a garage, a warehouse; people were there to listen, and he was there to play.

Xavier's ultimate goal is to share the music that resonates with him on a deeper level, hoping that it will also ignite a fire in the souls of his listeners. Music has a way of evoking powerful emotions and connecting people on a profound level. Having recently rediscovered that internal fire of focus & passion within himself, Xavier is relentless in the pursuit of a musical experience that not only entertains but leaves a lasting impact on those who are there to listen.
