Wing Spun is a collaboration between Christophe DeBezenac (Trio VD, LIMA) and Tom Sidebottom (Black Diamond Bay, Pitch Twit). The whole album is the result of a Sunday afternoon improvisation session. This was one of a few improvisation sessions that occurred in the 'Wesley Road house' - home of Kari Bleivik (Royst, LIMA) and Simon Kaylor (IDST, LIMA). Chris Sharkey (Trio VD, LIMA) was also a regular in these sessions, with this being one of the only exceptions. 

Fluttering Rice

this is the second track on our debut album 'fill it up with ghosts' - it started as a riff sharkey came up with in a practice room at leeds college of music (while waiting for a student to show up).
debez had just got back from morocco and had been playing with some gnawa musicians and that squeezed it's way in there - 'kesh' comes from marrakech.
we've played different versions of this tune for a long time - this arrangement seems to have stuck though...
by the way, sharkey's student never showed up
