Experiment with generative hihats. The 8-bit binary gray code is used, which is a bit sequence that changes by exactly 1 bit, every 8 steps. Each gray code is played twice, before moving on to the next. The full cycle is played exactly once.
Note that the gray code sequence is permuted from the original by [7,3,5,2,6,1,4,0], in order to make it more rhythmically pleasing.

Aside from this, he’s also been working on the debut album from his techno/acid project STRONTIUM DOGS also due for a release early next year. He will also be making his, now annual, appearances at OZORA Festival 2017 and yet again, promises fresh original experiments in the world of electronica. To top it all off he has finally managed to make some time to provide you with this, the long awaited next instalment of the CRAZY SHIT SHOW. More acid soaked mayhem with Merv’s customary live synths and samples being fired off on top…This man’s energy knows no bounds!
