I once came across a Hadith (Islamic Saying) that said on the Last Day a Prophet (perhaps Enoch or Elijah for it is said they did not die) would cry out O Man! And all that had died would be raised.. I was very struck by that one image, that one idea. The Carnyx is likewise a striking metaphor, that of an ancient war horn blown on the battlefield, whose mystic sound amplified the fear and chaos of war. These two figures were used to construct a prophetic narrative set to a Kohndo remix of Jungle Boogie. This message, then, is what's really up in these Latter Days of the Latter Rain..

The Carnyx

The starting point for this post-Dionysian text was a Hadith I remembered, that on Resurrection Day, the dead would be raised by the Call of the Angel Israfil: “O Man!” At the same time I suddenly discovered the Carnyx, an ancient Celtic war horn whose mystic sonic qualities amplified the feelings of “fear, and chaos, and death” felt by enemy warriors on the battlefield. This idea exploded exponentially into allusions, metaphors, and pop-culture references that were blended in a crucible with elements of myth, magick, physics, and the kaleidoscopic end-time events we now see on the news every night..
