Simple Symmetry are back on Calypso for a second offering but this time around it's in a different format. 

They've enlisted remixes of tracks from their Sorry We Did Something Wrong album which first landed back in 2021 as a self-released project, which won over many fans with a sound that went way beyond the club and now gets repurposed for the dancefloor with extended and club versions. 

The Horsemen Of Housing & Commercial Services rework of 'Che Che' is a dark disco classic, Smaghhe & Cross rework 'Rounded With A Sleep' into something taught and trippy and Inigo Vontier layers in plenty of darkness, grit and grime to his take on 'I Must Not Fear'. Odopt also mas his contributions with an mentally intense sonic pallete.

Also extended and club versions of the original tracks show their heads to complete a release that will make waves both on the dancefloor and at your favourite seat at the Korova Milk Bar.

Simple Symmetry - Rounded With A Sleep (Smagghe & Cross Remix) [Calypso]

Years of sweating in garage bands evidently prepared the Lipsky brothers to break boundaries in commercial club culture with a sound that somehow evokes the essence of psych-rock while never sounding out of place alongside certified technoid bangers.

Their musical breadth as producers speaks to their talent as DJs, with a deep passion for record digging that again conveys very specific sensibilities – a love for the exotic, the yearning for transcendence, as well as the rough rebellious energy of punk. They produce dance music from the margins, full of with narrative, melody, and drama. It’s intense, in a good way.* 

Their affiliations to broad-spectrum labels like Multi Culti, Disco Halal and Correspondant might paint some picture of their range, and their stellar remixes for artists like Nicola Cruz, Adam Port, Autarkic and Polo & Pan may have earned them lots of plays,  but their debut LP ‘Sorry, We Did Something Wrong’ is undoubtedly their most ambitious and elaborate statement to date. Drenched in their influences, rich in collabs with a range of artists like Sepultura’s Igor Cavalera and C.A.R., the record is at once ambitious and, as the title suggests, apologetic. Their capacity for embracing these polarities, a radical boldness tempered by self-consciousness, it may divide the audience, but it shows unmistakable personality.

Simple Symmetry returnes to Multi Culti with an epic, mournful EP called “Problem,” featuring a huge remix by long-time compatriots Red Axes. Another huge edit for CULTED is on deck, as well as a peak-time rework of Drugface, following up on their massive mix of ‘In the Clouds.’

There is no god, only people using the others' need of finding purpose in their insignificant existence.

There is no satan neither, satan is creation of the "holy" people to keep the believers scared, and thus easily controlled, obeying the true demons which those preachers serve - also people like you and me.

Hell is real, and it is on Earth. If you don't get what I mean, you are either part of the lucky minority or too stupid, or probably both.

The true evil does not like those educated in a way to be able to tell right from wrong without their shepherd.

Being kind to all and everything is purpose good enough. The evil always comes as an angel of light and gradually prevails. Those who truly believe that their purpose is to lead the others in the right direction are to be feared the most.

Providing proper education is fighting against evil. Perhaps your mother or first grade teacher is the real hero - those who fight in wars kill people.

p.s. They might say I'm fucked up.  Some like and pay to watch movies that scare them shitless, often involving a lot of blood and murder – isn’t that fucked up? These days, I can listen to 70-80s and nowadays truly good music more and more rarely. Actually, I have never had my own TV. Тhe TV news I catch in friends or relatives usually make me sad. It seems most people are interested in others' suffering more than anything else - the majority of them definitely deserve their faith.

p.s.2 This is my current view and I don't pretend it is right. It might change, everything changes.
