Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymīyyah stated there were three types of innovations that emerged in the last days of the Tābiʿīn. These three types of innovations were: opinion, scholasticism (kalām), and Sufism. Sufis came up with superstitions, false ideologies, and creeds in contradiction with what the Messenger of Allāh  came with (may Allāh raise his rank and grant him peace).

1. Acknowledgement of Allah’s mercy and care for His slaves
2. Brings gratitude towards Allāh.
3. Loving and honouring the Messengers.
– The claims of those who denied and rejected the Messengers.
– The Belief in the Last Day.
– Explanation of the Last Day and the reason for it to be called the Last Day.
– The three matters that comprise the belief in the Last Day.
1. Allah will bring life to the dead when the trumpet will be blown for the second time.
2. The occurrence of reckoning and recompense for every slave
3. To have belief in Paradise and Hell-Fire.
– Everything that occurs after death is included in the belief in the Last Day.

The noble scholar, al-ʿAllāmah ʿAbdullāh al-Bukhāri  explains the ayah: “O you who believe fear Allāh as he should be feared, and do not die except as Muslims."
