Tronus is a Barcelona based techno project with a unique, intense and emotional sound.

A singular project defined by an unbound vision of music that mirrors a philosophy built up over the lives of Albert Díaz and Víctor Quintana. An evolution from classical techno rawness into a 21st century complex sound, layered with hypnotic harmonies, rich atmospheres and unforgiving bass lines.

Since their debut album ‘Infra LP’ on 2017, every release has been supported and charted by top techno artists around the globe such as Laurent Garnier, Len Faki, Abstract Division, Answer Code Request, Antigone, Arnaud Le Texier, Boston 168, Charlotte de Witte, Deepbass, Flug, Francois X, Paul Ritch, Takaaki Itoh, Sam Paganini, Shlømo or Richie Hawtin, who selected 'Protos' as one of his Top Ten tracks of 2017 for BBC Radio 1.

That quickly catches the attention at Insert, benchmark club for Barcelona’s modern techno renaissance. Having become Insert residents in 2018, their intricate an expressive Hybrid Set became one of the most in-demand around the city’s top-notch venues such as Razzmatazz or Moog. 

Far from settling down, in 2019 this progression kept on with a debut at Berlin’s Griessmühle, Brunch in Barcelona, and a hometown residency at the new Rezonanz Club, hosted by Flug.

Today Tronus keep pushing their way into the future through a vision of techno as musical avant-garde, hi-tech art and experimentation.

The Deals began being a duo formed by Alex and Denis. They start their career together at an early age when they met in high school. They began to play together at some small clubs of Barcelona and felt to make their own music in the studio. It was a few years later when they began to edit their music in major labels such as SCI+TEC, Deeperfect or Waveform Recordings.

During those years in which they were a duo, their music was supported massively by artists like Deep Dish, Dubfire, Adam Beyer, Marco Carola, Paco Osuna, Sian, Sinisa Tamamovic, Pig & Dan, Fer BR and many others.
They also started to play in some of the best clubs in Spain.

A little later Denis left his professional career in a way to pursue other things and objectives, Alex decided to continue in solitary his career as The Deals.

Now Alex has in his mind new projects and objectives to fulfill during the next years.

Internationally renowned music producer and composer Henrik Schwarz is known for his eclectic musical approach to composition and sound design. As a producer and performer, he has successfully maintained a balance between electronic music, classical and jazz, and between energetic, highly charged dance sets at huge Techno events and concert performances in seated auditoriums.

Not many artists are lucky enough to release a track that defies genre classification and reaches into mainstream culture, with people enthusiastically embracing its melody and adopting it as if it were a football anthem.
His track “Rave” has become an instant classic, a timeless piece of music gaining more than 100 million streams (becoming the most clicked Techno track ever).
Since 1996, a landmark year for him thanks to the worldwide success of his track “Zoe” produced as Paganini Traxx, Sam Paganini’s stylistic experimentations have gone from strength to strength, leading him to collaborate and release his music on several record labels like Plus8, Cocoon Recordings and Drumcode, reaching the highest spots on Beatport’s Techno Chart several times. His unique musical journey has achieved great success both on the underground circuit as well as on the mainstream channels.
In 2016 Sam founded his own record label JAM as a new platform to play out his vision of techno music. At first an outlet for his own productions releasing 3 albums and nowadays also a platform to discover new talented Artists.
Beside his studio work and production time, Sam’s DJ appearances are among the most requested by promoters worldwide: his sets are characterized by powerful grooves and have been described as “Sexy Groovy Dark Techno”, which speaks volumes, literally, on what to expect from his performances.
He has taken the stage at legendary clubs such as Berghain (Berlin), Output and Cielo (New York), Rex (Paris), Fabric (London), Crobar (Buenos Aires), Exchange (Los Angeles), Fuse (Bruxelles), Stereo (Montreal), Pacha (Barcelona), Fabrik (Madrid), Amnesia (Ibiza), Privilege (Ibiza) and Cocoricò (Riccione) just to name a few, and at Festivals like Awakenings (Netherlands), Nature One (Germany), Mayday (Germany), Tomorrowland (Belgium), Sziget (Hungary), Sonus (Pag Island), Time Warp (Germany), Ultra (USA). Max Cooper has carved a unique space as an audio-visual artist with a science PhD & an international reputation as a leading electronic musician. 

His work carries an emotional resonance & sensory immersion, often focusing on humanity’s place in the world. He merges electronic music & visual art with scientific enquiry through installations, live performance, immersive audio-visual experiences, a range of digital media & award-winning music videos. 

Unspoken Words is Cooper’s 6th studio album & the latest in an impressive back catalogue that dates back to 2007, when he juggled studying Computational Biology with being resident DJ at a local techno club. 

He recently supplied the music for a powerful video narrated by Greta Thunberg & Pope Francis & played at COP26, urging world leaders to consider climate and environment in Covid recovery plans. 

Last year, he became the first techno artist to play at the Acropolis in Athens, Greece. 

Other work includes commissions from The Barbican, France TV & collaborations with Zaha Hadid Architects, The Babraham Institute, & L-Acoustics. 

Remixes include contemporary classical musicians including Philip Glass, Nils Frahm, Terry Reilly & Michael Nyman, & pop artists Hot Chip & Moby. 

His label, Mesh, is keenly placed to explore the intersection of music, art & science through interdisciplinary creative collaborations.

Abstrakt Perceptions is a brand new independent label concept created by Mudes, Cristian Saibel and Take Karaka. Based in Barcelona, the label calls upon a multitude of textures and blends of Techno and Electro as the main genres. 

This new collective seeks to encourage creativity and exploration of sound as a way to express their perceptions.

Perceptions are always abstrakt.

Vanity Dust is an independent journalist focusing on electronic music, active since 2008 and devoted to the global Techno scene while keeping a strong connection with Barcelona and Spain stablished and uprising talents. 

Vanity features première tracks, in-depth interviews and runs a podcast series since 2016 (@ypiw). Along the journey, he has also published articles via other media: Mixmag (ES), Dj Mag (ES), Vicious Mag or eldiario.es, amongst others.

In 2021, Dust Trax (@dusttrax) appears as a captivating Vanity Dust spin-off: a digital record label that releases single tracks featuring artists that have been relevant to the project since its early beginnings, more than 15 years ago.

The new @vanitydust website —www.vanitydust.ninja— goes live in 2022 and turns Dust Trax into a members exclusive download platform by offering a symbolic subscription to those who care.
