The downtime jam session this week comes from 23-year-old English beatmaker and producer Submerse aka Rob Orme whose skill set sees him navigate between hip hop, electronica instrumentals, footwork and beyond. With a multitude of musical influences, Submerse’s music has shimmered with flecks of J-Pop, drum & bass, 90s slow jams, and sweet r&b, always containing a subtle referential tone towards his love of Japan. With his recent releases on Apollo and Project: Mooncircle, the Tokyo based beatsmith’s beautiful blend of sounds has had us desperate to get him in as part of the Slumber Sessions family.
