Love and stuff

This was the first song I wrote, inspired the night of Harry Chapin's untimely death. I finally recorded it on my second CD, Threads. The production by Pete Snell combined with Armando Compean's wonderful bass and Lee Spath on brush drums give this an outstanding vibe. That's Bob Fernandez on percussion and some of those alternative sounds while Mike Bolger plays that haunting trumpet.

Dragon Song

A friend of mine, Jeff Marinelli, wrote this  poem titled "The Ballad of Pete & Heather". I loved the poem so, I arranged it in this song.  Jeff's original inspiration was from a John Lennon work, The Alphabet Poem. The 'H' was for the girl I was dating at the time.  This is from my elements album, 2005.

Puzzle Piece

Two weeks before my sister Tracy's wedding, she asked me to write a song and sing it  - at -  her    -   reception. I reminded Tracy that it took me five years just to write our grandma's song, "Family". I told her it was impossible. No, I wouldn't do it.   

I hung up the phone, and started playing what became "Now It's We".
