This is our set from a festival we played In Bavaria, Southern Germany last summer called the Feta Morgana.  During our set it was completely raining but the dance floor was still packed, many people huddled under the tent dancing with us and then a full crew out in the rain and mud fully surrendered to the elements and loving it, it was a magical evening. God created the magnificent rainforests, waterfalls, beaches and sunsets.
And when creation was complete, God looked at the gorgeous canvas and
wondered what to do with the paint and paintbrushes. God knew that these creative tools were so tremendous that they would be dangerous in the hands of mere mortals.
" I could hide them at the top of the highest mountain, " thought God, " but man would surely learn to climb and if he obtained these gifts, all of mankind would war over them. "
" I could hide them at the bottom of the deepest valley on the ocean floor, " God thought, " but eventually man would learn to dive to great depths to retrieve these gifts and I wouldn't want them to destroy each other fighting over them. "
So God decided to hide the paintbrush inside every man and the magical paints deep within every woman. That way only the most worthy seekers would discover their power and they would have to cooperate in order to create.

Spiritito @ New Beginning

You are invited to take a moment to contemplate what it means to embody receptivity. In what ways can you embrace and accept what is happening in your life? What can you feel going on in your body, mind, and emotions? Be receptive to it all, and allow the energy to flow into your dance. Often times it is through surrender and receptivity that a clear path forward is provided.

This set was played for Asheville Movement Collective's Sunday morning dance on May 16th. There's a lot of bird medicine in this set through the lyrics of a couple of songs. I didn't plan it out that way, it just happened. 

And so on the day of the dance, while we danced outside in my yard, of course, feeling our call a hawk circled us as Deya Dova's song "Return of the Bird Tribes" began, and then later during our closing circle as Shaunna was sharing her dance experience she noticed a hawk flying above her outside her house where she was dancing. And as she describes this to us all, my housemates and I saw our hawk return to circle above us! Praise the magic of our winged allies who help to sooth the winds of change that cross our skies. We love you!
