Zev Le Wolfe & Gadi Mizrahi are Wolf+Lamb, an American duo which has captivated audiences the world over the past few years thanks to their highly spirited and eclectic sets – not to mention their work on their own associated Wolf+Lamb imprint.

Famed for their raucous parties at the so-called Marcy Hotel in New York, the boys have since gone on to forge a reputation that's very much global. That said, they're still pushing the boundaries of sound as only they know how, and their latest project sees them lock horns with a number of their similarly renowned contemporaries a la Soul Clap, Pillowtalk, No Regular Play and a handful of other likeminded folk. The new project in question is called Crew Love, and the early signs are auspicious to say the least. With Crew Love touching down in Sankeys this Thursday and taking over the Manchester club for a very special set, we decided to get the party started early and nab their considerable talents to get you in the mood for the bank holiday weekend early with an exclusive 3 hour set from the duo. That’s this afternoons listening sorted then!

John Graham, better known as QUIVVER is a multi talented DJ, producer and vocalist. Residing in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJ’s for over 5 years, his career spanning over two decades has brought forth multi-genre hits from his multiple production aliases including Quivver, Space Manoeuvres, Stoneproof, Skanna and Tilt. Always keeping his sound current and versatile he remains a staple figure in the electronic music scene throughout the World.

John’s discography includes releases on his own label Boz Boz and world renown labels Bedrock, Toolroom, Raid / Strictly Rhythm, Yoshitoshi, Hooj Choons, VC Recordings and many more. As a vocalist John has collaborated and written electrifying songs for Hybrid, Planet Funk and The Low Highs. John’s most recent musical endeavors include the creation of a new House sub-genre ‘Gangsta House,’ melding old school rap and hip-hop into new House remixes. With support from the Dogg Pound, Warren G and DNA Project aka NWA 2 this new take on old classics is on par to take on the top radio hits of the Summer. Embarking on a completely different tone, John has completed his long awaited Sonic Alternative Rock Album ‘Cold Sun,’ this album is scheduled for release in 2014.

In addition to his many top charting releases, John’s music has been licensed to nationally syndicated television programs ‘CSI - NY’ and ‘The Spirit’ and has produced music for video game trailers including ‘Transformers’, ‘Call of Duty- Modern Warfare 2’, ‘Call of Duty World at War’, ‘Call of Duty Black Ops’, and ‘Batman: Arkham City Riddler.’ He has also worked on film scores for ‘The Taking of Pelham 123’, ‘Twelve’, and ‘Shrek Forever After 2010’, and one of his tracks was featured on Charlize Theron’s movie trailer for ‘Young Adult’ proving his skills as a producer go far beyond just the EDM world.

Recorded at John’s last night at The Vagabond Nightclub in Downtown Miami during this year’s Miami Music Week, ‘LIVE IN MIAMI’ features 37 tracks and nearly 4 hours of the very best underground electronic music, spanning across more than two decades.

Showcasing a wide selection of new and classic records ranging from as far back as 1992 (Secret Knowledge – Sugar Daddy) and 1993 (Nicole – A Small Entrance To A Large Spectrum and Laurent Garnier – Acid Eiffel) Digweed’s latest opus effortlessly takes us through a vast array of sounds, eras and genres from what was an incredibly special night back in March of this year.

From some major reminiscent acid moments of the early 90s right through the years to the upfront house and techno soundscapes of present day, John Digweed blends tracks from some of the most notable producers into one seamless mix that truly captures the spontaneity and vibe of the crowd in one of the world’s coolest, most intimate and unorthodox clubbing destinations.

The Queen of England may have celebrated her Diamond Jubilee this year, but 
we feel that reaching our very own Golden 50th release is almost of equal 
importance! Who else to present this honour but the head brothers-in-arms, 
Tiefschwarz with a stonking remix package of their smash ‘Hurricane’. 
They serve up a 2012 rework, which sharpens the original’s caramel beat to 
glass-cutting levels. French mischief makers dOP lend head jester Jaw to supply 
vocal atmospherics. His words are treated, menacingly mingling in with a 
swerving synth line, jacking snares piercing through the gloom. The track title’s 
implies a maelstrom of chaos, but every storm has a dark eye of stillness, and this 
is it. Then we have ‘Time & Space’ which features Souvenir favourite Daniel 
Wilde, last heard on Re.You’s recent hit ‘Falling’. There’s a snaking groove, with 
some repeating Martian piano chords, all laid over by Wilde’s blue-eyed soul 
tones.

On the flipside, there’s reinterpretations of Hurricane from two very promising 
young acts championed by Souvenir. Re.You has had a incredible year, his live 
with Rampa travelling all over, and hits on Gigolo, Mobilee and Souvenir to name 
but a few. Here he toughens up the skittering shakers, techy drums patterns 
driving it all forward. A robotic squelch heralds in the vocal with a magic phaser 
ray liberally applied to the instrumentation, turning the weirdness dial up to 11. 
Russian super-trio Special Case round things up, going Jacques Costeau deep, 
the beat soporific and the faint memory of a melody supplied by some jangling 
chimes, plus bassline knee-deep in squelchy mud. For those foregoing vinyl 
goodness, there’s a bonus trademark Tiefschwarz dub treatment: tempo kicked 
up, bassline spaced out and the vocal refrain chopped into a percussive weapon 
– in other words, rebuilt up as a dancefloor wrecking ball. Also, last year’s original 
version of Hurricane is included in all it’s sultry glory.

After a lot of demand from his fans, JOOP finally decided to do a remake of his classic anthem The Future. The Future, as we all know, was a career defining release for JOOP. The Anthem for one of Holland's largest dance festivals ID&T's Trance Energy 2007 and a record that continues to be a favourite among festival attendees to this day.

Of course, it is not an easy task to touch a classic. Whereas the original production was a true trance banger, the new remake sports an undeniable 2013 sound. Get ready for Earth-shaking beats, kick drums that are larger than life, a stadium rocking riff, and of course that haunting vocal snippet we all know from the original. 

Last year's Just One Night already showed some of JOOP's all-round production skills in which we hear a combination of Big Room, dubstep-esque electro beats and trance. Armin Van Buuren was one of the first Djs to support this gem in his radio show A State Of Trance which is listened to by millions of fans around the world every week! The new remake of The Future takes it all to the next level. 

Before its official release, Leon Bolier gave it a test run at ASOT 600 and the initial reactions were lauding. JOOP has been rocking the international festival circuit for over a decade now, with recent gigs in Kuala Lumpur, Cyprus, Turkey, Algeria and many more to be announced soon. JOOP also recently has teamed up with the new 657 DJ Agency from Seattle.
