Her career is not that long, but she has been on the scene as a DJ for over 12 years. Since she was so captivated by techno, she decided, even after valuable advice, to come out with a new alter EWELYN and play only techno under it. She is an active member of the Alliance of Music crew with whom she does great underground events at Keller nacht in Ostrava and also played at the official after Beats for Love at Fabric for the second year in a row.

The last two years she also played at Sweetsen Fest in Frýdek - Místek. She still has a lot to do in the techno scene, but she is very talented and her sub-genre domain is Groove Techno. You could hear her for example at events in Fabric also in Marley and Caffe de la Ostrava in Prague's PULSE 22 or recently in Prague's ROOM 8 in lub ROXY.

"For me techno is the most primal, the most visceral style of music that can be consumed in a club environment. When combined with a proper sound system, it's something you can't escape from.' Without question Marc Faenger's music breathes the kind of immersive, enveloping, physical experience that he describes in this statement. In this episode of DYSTOPIA, we delve deeply into the thought and music of Marc Faenger, a visionary producer whose densely layered, high intensity productions have significantly shaped the sonic development of the techno genre as a whole. Marc shares with us his pathway into pure techno by means of his close collaborations with Richie Hawtin, his nuanced understandings of texture, balance, and frequency in production, his perspectives on the currently fractured techno clubscape, and also whether or not he sees any relationship between his music and the world in which we live. As always, the episode is capped with a 30 minute mix of the artist's music, and in this case I think you will find Marc's music to be truly engulfing. Enjoy the sound!

Founded in the lush tropical paradise of Cairns in 2007 and now managed out of the bustling metropolis of Brisbane, Open has grown into a respected and prolific label with more than 70 releases from artists in all corners of the globe.
