German born and Jamaican raised Melanie Ribbe is not new to the electronic music scene. Melanie’s raw passion for music has been with her since childhood, starting recording blank cassette mixtapes in her bedroom at 8 years old, continuing through teenage years making mixes then digitally upon receiving her first computer. 

Her love and passion for music led her to pursue a career with great determination from an early age and enroll in the London Academy of Music Production to master the art of music and hone her skills. After Melanie got signed by her first agent in 2014, she started her career with her official debut at the Miami Music Week in 2015 alongside strong lineups. Shortly after, Melanie secured to perform at the opening of Amnesia Ibiza which resulted in a two year residency at Amnesia and at Cova Santa Ibiza with her own party called “Melanie Ribbe & Friends”. During those two seasons on the island, she made a name for herself and played amongst the heavy weights of the industry.

Melanie’s first EP was released on the industry’s acclaimed label Moon Harbour, the track “Get It Right” managed to climb Beatport’s top 100 chart. After that her stimulating, groovy and precise sound rhetoric led her to release on successful labels such as Saved, Viva Limited, Mindshake, Roush & re-publishing on Toolroom compilations with support from the most respected names of the industry, in addition to collaborations with Paco Osuna and Reboot.

On stage Melanie is creative and eloquent, she is distinguished by her unique tech-house style that get the crowds moving, skills that have taken her to tour worldwide and play at some of the biggest clubs and festivals in the world such as Fabrik Madrid, We are Festival, D-Edge and Lollapalooza.

In 2018 Ribbe secured a residency in Brazil’s hottest new venue ‘Ame Club’. 

In 2020 Melanie founded her own music label, Agápe Muzik, and the Agápe Showcases alongside a video streaming series at unusual locations called “Melanie Ribbe x Drop” on YouTube. In June 2021 she released her first artist album, DANCE AGAIN, on her label Agápe Muzik.

Melanie currently also hosts her own Radio Show ‘Groove Nation’ on Ibiza Global Radio every Saturday at 8pmCET and a monthly residency on french originated international radio “Uncoded Radio”, while having frequent appearances on radio stations like Ibiza Global Radio, Ibiza Sonica, Pure Ibiza, and has curated previous guest mixes for British Airways, Kaluki, Moon Harbour and Toolroom.

Melanie Ribbe lives and breaths music, any spare moment she has, she prefers to produce music rather than anything else as she is moved by a single purpose: to communicate through music, conceiving it as the object and the means to generate deep emotions.

In February of 2024, I had the massive pleasure of traveling to Montreal. Quebec, and play on what is one of the best sound systems in North America, if not the world, at Stereo Montreal.

As a DJ and a sound engineer, this was an extra special treat for me, and I pulled out all the stops for my 4 hour opening set. Have such a perfectly tuned system at my fingertips was a rare treat, and the music just flowed effortlessly. Enjoy the journey, and leave me a comment!

Today marks the 20th year anniversary of Balance 006 mixed by Anthony Pappa. Needless to say, it’s a chapter which holds a special place in the Balance story. 

In the years between Anthony's breakout year in 2000 and his Balance mix in 2004, the progressive scene underwent many transformations—shifting from more trance-y sounds to tribal house rhythms, and dark atmospheres, eventually incorporating melodic progressive breaks. With Anthony’s trademark harmonic mixing on full display, this compilation skilfully captured the evolving landscape and showcased Anthony’s musical range in impeccable style.

With it’s borderline spiritual take on progressive breaks, it still sounds as fresh as it did 20 years ago. For Anthony, it stands out as a unique entry in his discography:

If the first mix is the spiritual and centered friend you'll happily introduce to your parents, CD 2 is the kid your parents warned you about—the one who smoked cigarettes at school. It's a devilishly hard mix to deny, an adventurous ride through some of the dankest tech-prog the 2004 circuit had to offer.

Back then, this was the sound of the clubs. "It was that kind of style, you know, the late-night, after-hours vibe, like Twilo," Anthony recalls. The NY club was renowned worldwide for its pristine sound system and pure clubbing experience. "I had a monthly residency there, and the music on mix 2 featured that same kind of intoxicating, immersive vibe."

A studio-head in the true sense of the word, YokoO’s last 20 years have seen him master house music in all its deepest forms. With a prolific and impressive discography, YokoO has made his mark on noteworthy labels to date with original releases and a back-catalogue of strong remixes.

He’s turned the heads of many a label boss from Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Matthew Dekay, Lee Burridge, and MANDY, as well as racked up plays from a broad spectrum of industry reference artists. Since joining Polyamor agency at the latter stages of 2024 the boys have been honing their sound with hard bounce and trance being their weapons of choice. This has led to a plethora of sold out shows all over Europe and also a return to Australia. 

Looking to the rest of 2025 they look to expand to new territories such as the Americas as well as continuing to be a mainstay across the European continent. With some of their best work yet to be released this year looks to be special.

Avision (Anthony Cardinale), born in Staten Island, NY in 1993 and now based in New Jersey, is a DJ and producer renowned for his dynamic contributions to the techno and house music scenes. Raised in the vibrant club culture of New York City, Avision was drawn to music from an early age. At just 12 years old, he began experimenting with music production using his father’s laptop and Logic Pro. With a father actively involved in music, Avision's passion was nurtured from the start.

His professional journey gained momentum with the release of the Excess EP on Beardman Records in 2018, earning widespread acclaim and elevating his profile within the industry. He has since released tracks on respected labels including Maceo Plex’s Ellum Audio, Crosstown Rebels, Altra Moda, Blackbook Records, Cod3 QR, and Cocoon.

Avision’s debut album In My Mind received recognition from DJ Mag UK, further solidifying his reputation in the global electronic music community.

Recently, Avision launched the label MATTER+ with his cousin and legendary DJ Victor Calderone. In addition to his music career, Avision is an entrepreneur. He owns an event production company, a mobile pizza business, and a restaurant and bar in New Jersey—ventures unified under his Ground Rule Collective, which blends events, clothing, art, and food.

Avision’s sets are known for their uplifting, groovy, and deep sound, inspired by pioneers like Victor Calderone, David Morales, Junior Vasquez, and Danny Tenaglia. Notable appearances include Brooklyn Storehouse, The Brooklyn Mirage, Time Warp NYC, Space Miami, Stereo Montreal, Thuishaven, and the iconic Printworks in London. His ability to perform marathon open-to-close sets highlights both his technical skill and his connection with crowds.
