30 years of Fuse means 30 years of road paving. 

In over a quarter century, Fuse has stood the test of time by rooting itself in ageless music and employing pioneering artists - large or small, international or local - to command the decks of Belgium’s longest running dance floor. A celebration of this legacy and the renewed imprint is in order, coming in the form of a 30 track compilation of techno’s best and brightest from around the world. One track for one year, this collection of recordings highlights the status quo of enduring club music, beginning with a nod to the past: a re-release of Jeff Mills iconic ‘Step to Enchantment’ from 1993. This glance to the past quickly shoots us forward into the current state of techno with legendary artists like Planetary Assault Systems, DVS1, Steffi, Rødhåd, Donato Dozzy, DJ Nobu and many others who headlined the club in recent years. Cementing itself as a respected escapist institution, Fuse also calls on its growing local scene to prove why Brussels continues to remain a reference in the scene even outside of its own borders. 

An ode to the past and a hint to the future, Fuse shares this milestone with its original guests from 1994 all the way to its fresh party goers of the past years as a promise to keep its dance floor focused on quality music and timeless moments.

If there is someone who is an expert in designing the best sci-fi techno, it is the Argentinean Translate. His impeccable career spans across timeless space and time, populated with works of the highest quality and precision, whether on his own label or on labels across the known world.

This is why we feel enormously happy to have him on the label and also to be able to give it physical form with a vinyl release, as well as digital.

This five-track extended EP represents Translate's crystalline, scientific sound 100%, seasoned with well-managed minimalism, precision bleeps and hypnotic, mental arrangements.

All this is administered at different speeds and sensibilities, sometimes more galactic and mental and sometimes more dynamic and physical, but always futuristic and timeless.

AgainstMe, also known as Kostas, is a DJ and producer originally from Greece and now based in Berlin. He plays a significant role in the electronic music scene as a co-founder of SOCIETY 3000 and a core member of USM Recordings. His musical journey began at the age of 16, in which he began DJing and crafting a range of sounds across the musical spectrum. The AgainstMe project was inspired by Kostas’ enlightenment by Techno at the age of 18 and the ceremonial nature of its gatherings. AgainstMe takes an unconventional approach to producing, experimenting with Modular Systems to create bleepy and groovy sounds. He has released on labels such as Subsist Records, Warok and Voxnox.

ALBUM DESCRIPTION :

DK16 is my first-ever album release, and I’m so excited to share it with you all. This project came together thanks to the large number of tracks I finished in November that met my quality standards and is inspired by Hardgroove and Techno.

The tracklist is arranged in the order the songs were created—so as you listen from start to finish, you’ll hear how my personal taste and creative process evolved over the week it took to produce these tracks. It’s a small detail, but one I think makes the album even more special.

The album takes its name from one of the tracks, "DK16" (Track 5). While this song stands out to me and deserves its place in the spotlight, every track has something to offer. I’m sure many of you will find your own favorites as you listen.

Making this music has been so much fun, and I’m so grateful to share it with you. Your support—through streams, social media engagement, and just listening—means the world to me.

Local Nijmegen-raised Jurriaan Jansen, also known as Jancen, is a rising talent whose sound embraces the versatility of Techno and aims to push boundaries. Jancen has been listening to electronic music and mastering turntables since the age of 12. His Techno journey began at the age of 14 after attending an Awakenings soundcheck, although his journey in production began fourteen years later.

Jancen’s recent November release, Inner Labyrinth part 1, features tracks which are diverse in style – with sounds from hypnotic loops to funky acid riffs to dub-techno samples with dynamic percussion. This podcast is driving and hypnotic –seamlessly intertwining funky elements and syncopated synths.

After being introduced to electronic music back in the early 90's in Los Angeles, a teenage David Flores was hooked. He started DJing across Southern California on the DIY warehouse, backyard, desert, and rave circuit. His style then was as varied as the local scene - a myriad of sounds ranging from house to acid to techno to hardcore. After a few years solely DJing, he began releasing original music under the monikers David F & Audio Injection, which landed him on labels such as Monoid, Stimulus, 4 Track & LA label Droid Recordings. His association with Droid Behavior began in 2003 as resident at the now defunct yet infamous and internationally acclaimed Interface event series alongside Drumcell and Raiz. He currently runs a new event series together with Drumcell and Oktaform named “Observe”.

In early 2011, he started the project Truncate to focus on the deeper, raw side of techno. His Truncate releases early on gained critical acclaim from world class underground talent such as Modeselektor, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Chris Liebing, Speedy J, DVS1, Luke Slater, Ben Sims, Josh Wink, Eats Everything, Joris Voorn, and many more. Since then, he has provided remixes for artists across the musical spectrum including Kink, Slam, Loco Dice, Ben Sims, Josh Wink, Ellen Alien, Miss Kittin, Carl Cox & Nicole Moudaber. He has also released original works on 50 Weapons, Ultramajic, Blueprint, Ei8ht, Figure and of course his own imprint Truncate. He has also collaborated with Jimmy Edgar, Chambray and most recently started a new project with Ben Sims as ‘Assailants’ which they’ve released on their own imprint ‘Obscurity Is Infinite’.

A rigorous international tour schedule has since followed, including stops and regular appearances at the most prestigious venues and events, including Berghain in Berlin, Fabric in London, Concrete in Paris, The Movement Festival in Detroit, Womb in Tokyo, Dimensions Festival in Croatia, Awakenings in Amsterdam, Output in New York, and many more.

With his heavy remix, production and touring schedule there is still no slowing down for David. He continues to shape an evolving sound and to champion the Los Angeles underground.
