Few DJs can claim to have had such a lasting impact as Daniele Baldelli. Throughout the ’70s and into the ’80s he was an instrumental figure in the development of the curious Italian sound known as Afro/cosmic music, or “cosmic disco” as it’s known today.

His residencies at Italy’s Baia Degli Angeli and Cosmic clubs are the stuff of dance music legend, and mixtapes of his wild multi-genre sets are still poured over by eager fans and internet trainspotters alike. His unique techniques and off-the-wall selections continue to be employed by adventurous DJs working the international circuit to this day.

Brian Not Brian is a man of many stories, I enjoy someone with many stories. In the short time I've been in his presence I have been given countless facts, stories and been spread a wide variety of the musical encyclopedia to which of chapter's I didn't even know existed. Brian is a man who lives and breaths this industry, from digging in the furthest crates in the vast corners of the world reissuing never before seen or forgotten gems on his Midnight Drive, or more noticeably to finding some of the most interesting new talents coming up via Going Good. 
On top of all this he's an excellent DJ, a skill which has seen him play worldwide alongside underground greats like DJ Sotofett and Hashman Deejay to name a few. For his Off The Record Brian brings us on deep dive of various club sounds in house, disco and more. We are very happy to introduce a new trushmixer: Prins Thomas! Norwegian cosmic disco renegade, DJ extraordinaire and all around nice guy. 

His Trushmix is an older mix recorded at Club Module in Tokyo, all the way back in 2006. Starting off in an easy going manner, it slowly starts moving into the worlds of cosmic sounds, disco, balearic and krautrock, peaking with some house sounds towards the end. Sit back, relax and enjoy.
