Chasing A Lie is a modular composition built around a distorted synth lead, saturated bassline, and a four-on-the-floor rhythm that pulses with digital urgency. Synth pads stretch into ambient fog, while lo-fi percussion and stereo shimmer add emotional lift. Vocal samples are fragmented and looped robotic phrases and whispered fragments echo through granular delay and stereo bloom. The topline lyric “I chase the glitch, I chase the lie” anchors the arc, framing memory as distortion and identity as rhythm.

The remix arc reimagines the track as a cinematic fusion of glitch hop grit, gothic emotion, and melodic restraint. The bass gains analog warmth and sidechain bounce, while percussion shifts to swung hi-hats and gated snares. Vocals are reprocessed into ghostly loops and spoken overlays, layered with shimmer FX and ambient haze. Pads stretch into lo-fi warmth, supporting a breakdown–rebuild structure with harmonic modulation and rhythmic clarity.

Engineered for late-night sets, cinematic sync, and remix reinterpretation, Chasing A Lie is a high-concept release designed for modular phrasing, visual overlays, and emotionally restrained edits.

German talents Júlio Cruz and Momo Arigato join forces for a superb new deep house release for Istanbul based imprint Petra, with each artist taking care of two originals each. 

Cologne native's Júlio Cruz makes tracks that are close to the dance floor with a chill vibe that really makes a mark. His opener Chercher La Nuit is a bubbling house cut with a warm and fat bassline. Lush chords bring light and emotion and carry you away. Dancing Love Affair has a big heart with soulful chords and disco tinged beats getting you moving. 

Leipzig's Momo Arigato's tracks represent the pure side of house music with sampled elements brings them alive and have come on labels like Friend in Need and Bigbait before now Mario's Rhythm is a raw, DIY groove with rough edged kicks and blasts of bass that are smoothed out with lush chords and experimental modulated sounds. Don't Believe is a dreamy track with cloudy pads and lumpy beats that are perfectly atmospheric and authentic. This then is a truly killer EP.
