Deep ConnectFM 66: Tracks of the Week

One of the most important players in the Lisbon scene for the past10 years has been DJ and producer Guy From 1990 - whom as beenat helm of some of the city’s most treasured underground parties.Miguel has broke ground as an eclectic club DJ and helped dissolvemyths around what and how one is supposed to DJ.
Being a long time friend of the label’s and a key character in Lisbon nightlife, Guy From 1990 delivers a couple of bottom heavy bangers for Percebes, choosing to explore deep love for the UK school.
A double track outing that tributes classic 2-step/garage/funky/dubstep and related fields, but also explores portuguese urban culture by using vocalist Hael’s defined and relaxed timbre to convey exotic messages on the track “Ritmo Alastra”.

Electrosexual is the creation of Romain Frequency — the french, Berlin-based music producer and DJ — as well as a vehicle for them to explore gender, art, technology, and alternative sexualities through auditory signals. Rooted in queer politics and aesthetics, their music is influenced by synthy acid-house, EBM-tinged techno, Italo disco-flecked electro and dark-disko.

"I recorded this mix during Easter weekend with the excitement of the first sunny days after a long tough winter in order to share some light in times of Darkness. It is a blend of Queer house and cunty ecstatic italotronic sounds. I also included some of my favourite new releases from talented friends who make amazing music like Shero, Sylvio B and Mala Ika.
