These childhood remembrances are truly habit forming 
Through the years friends thought me callous or too self absorbed to care

Light enters through the eyeball in the pupil and the IRIS 
and passes through the retina to the optical nerve and the brain 
What we DO see can amaze us or repel us or inspire us 
AND what we DON’T see cannot ever bring us pain 

My mother’s sage advise has served me well until the present 
Its kept me moving forward free from worry or despair 
Anytime I’m faced with something ugly or unpleasant

But suddenly I’m stricken with self doubt like lightning flashes 
Maybe Keeping my eyes closed was just a form of self-impair

This is music I wrote more than ten years ago that I decided to remix as best I could. I was just learning how to lay down more than just a piano track and had absolutely no idea what I was doing. I always had engineers that did that for me before there were online sites like Soundcloud and others.  I have 2" recording studios tapes from 40+ years ago that has original music that I want to get remixed and there is no one near where I live. If anyone can help me out, let me know. I live in PA.

Dark Jubilee

Not everyone is on holiday, even in the heat of summer. Some still work while the city falls silent, stretched under a long, empty day. I can’t tell if the man expects something to happen; to me, it feels like nothing will happen today either. Anyway, everything's good.

This is the third in a series of eight easy, acoustic, rather short, and deliberately inconclusive tracks, assembled by combining new ideas with reworked older material, adding parts and sounds along the way.
