DJ OPTIK is a self proclaimed old school vinyl slinger. Leaning into the nostalgic roots of Techno, He plays classic tracks from the late 90's and early 2000's. Hailing from Ireland DJ OPTIK started his DJing journey playing in Dublin, but since moving to Berlin his record collection has swelled and so has his passion for the craft. Having recently played the infamous HÖR live stream in May he proved his caliber on the international stage, Delivering a stand out performance and paving an exciting future for himself.

Playing the most exciting venues around the world and recently providing a hart hitting journey of fast and experimental Techno on our event series back in April 22, she is serving us once again one hour of pure and playful energy. Mama Snake is the reptilian alias of Sara Svanholm, a Copenhagen-based DJ/Producer whose slithering beats are every bit as cunning as the name suggests. She’s an integral part of her city’s scene and a card-carrying member of collaborative ‘mixed media channel’ Amniote Editions alongside names like Celestial Trax, Hadone and D.Dan. Her full-blooded sound leaves no room for misinterpretation, it is thrilling, primal and overwhelming in the vein of the most compelling main stage techno. There’s a raw practicality to the music too, perhaps a function of her second career as a medical surgeon; Mama Snake wants to create a communal feeling through her work, and there’s the human touch. These rumbling rhythms might sound formidable, but they’re there to bring people together and get both bodies and progressive ideas moving. Bassiani Podcast 163 is pure, unadulterated, percussive power, 80 minutes of coiling loops and white-hot basslines from the Denmark-based techno matriarch.

Alex Ranzino is a Producer & DJ from Amsterdam. His recognizable sound consists of a hard hitting combination of acid, techno and electro. Alex finds a lot of inspiration in old-school production techniques and music from the past era. The combination of oldschool and modern production techniques is very much audible in his own productions and dj-sets. 

Alex' main goal is to share the music he likes the most, this can either be recent discoverties, personal favorites or own productions. This often results in a diverse and eclectic range of sounds - breakbeats, acid, loopy stuff… It’s all appreciated! Alex has some releases coming up which you might could hear in this mix. ▻ You are originally from Munich, and now you live in Berlin, what brought you there?

I moved to Berlin for my masters but I loved the city since I was a child. Together with my passion for techno it just made sense to move there.

▻ Where did you have your last gig and how was it?

My last gig was Anomalie Art Club in Berlin for a privat event. It was fun but I‘m looking forward to play a clubnight someday. 

▻ You produce your own music in the meantime, how do you always start there and with what equipment do you have for it at the start?

I start with the kick and bassline, add a synth and fill the tracks with drums. I use an analog four a tr8s and ableton live to make my music. 

▻ What's on your musical agenda for 2023?

Finishing my first EP.

▻ I heard you go out a lot, what are your favorite clubs?

Berghain, RSO and ELSE.

Born and raised in Berlin, Aylin started her musical career by playing drums followed by djing many years later.

You can feel the percussive elements in her sets, she will take you on an eclectic and high energetic journey that depicts her very diverse style.

Every set will surprise you because Aylin doesn't like to limit herself to a certain sound.
Aylin takes her sounds around Germany but also internationally. She has played at RSO in Berlin, Sektor in Dresden, Grelle Forelle in Vienna, Amboss Rampe in Zürich and many more.

As the daughter of a famed Turkish rock & roll drummer, Elvin was born with rhythm and groove pulsing through her veins, having spent most of her youth chasing music wherever she goes. She moved to Madrid, the city she now calls home, back in 2013 and found solace and inspiration in the vibrant realm of the Spanish electronic scene. 

Initially blazing dance floors as a devout raver, she was drawn ever closer to the soundscape forged by her favorite artists  and carefully studied the institution of the club in preparation for her seismic leap to the opposite side of the decks.

Her dynamic presence, infectious energy, and unwavering commitment to her craft were quickly picked up by various clubs and collectives in her city, leading her to grace some of the most respected clubs in Madrid, including Mondo Disko, The Bassement, Sala Muv, Studio 76, Siroco, Sala el Sol y Ballesta, where she captivated crowds with her unique, fun and striking take on techno. 

Her sound is a borderless amalgamation of cheeky, rave-ready techno and eclectic shades of groove woven in with threads of hypnotic synths, bouncy breaks, and sexy vocals.

Hija de un famoso batería turco de rock and roll, Elvin nació con el ritmo y el groove corriendo por sus venas, y pasó la mayor parte de su juventud persiguiendo la música allá donde iba. En 2013 se mudó a Madrid, la ciudad que ahora llama hogar, y encontró consuelo e inspiración en el vibrante reino de la escena electrónica española.

Al principio, como una raver devota, se acercó cada vez más al paisaje sonoro forjado por sus artistas favoritos y estudió cuidadosamente la institución del club en preparación para su salto sísmico al lado opuesto de los platos.
