Dubbed a “scientist of sound” by peers, Tyr Kohout is a Toronto music producer who is also known as the engineer and DJ for vocalist flowanastasia. He has performed in Canada, UK and across Europe – notably at Rampage, Liquicity, Exit Festival, Get In Step and more. 

Tyr Kohout has released music on labels such as Hospital Records, Anjunabeats and Deviant Audio, with premieres including Drum&Bass Arena, Skankandbass and STUDIO. He has also showcased production tutorials and livestreams on STRANJAH’s YouTube channel to 100k+ subscribers. His sound design and recordings have been featured in Phase Plant preset packs and Deviant Audio sample libraries. 

Over the past 10 years, his style has encompassed minimal rollers, neurofunk, atmospheric liquid, halftime, dubstep and even jam-band-esque psychedelic funk, all with a mix of original sound design and instrument recordings.
