Tytanium Armour Records return with their latest drop Contra Tech. After two vinyl releases from the imprint, it's a return to the digital space. Regular label names Semiotix, Meecha, Tycaine and 
Travesty return with hard-hitting productions, and Manifest contributes a killer remix of an already heavyweight tune. Lovers of the darker strands of drum & bass will gravitate to Contra 
Tech, as it features a heady mixture of tech-step, neuro and dark flavours.

Travesty opens the compilation with 'The Matrix'. Shuddering synth lines make up the intro, hitting the speakers and vibrating into the ether. Underneath, detailed percussion burrows into the deepest part of the brain, setting the tone for the rest of the tune. 

Semiotix's 'Dropship' wastes no time achieving top speed. The tune is a barrage of choppy lead lines and head-spinning percussion, with Semiotix deploying a labyrinthine melody among the sonic madness later in the track. 

Tycaine and Meecha collide on 'Phase Shifters'. Industrial bass notes reverberate around the speaker in the intro, with the two deploying intense low-end pressure and driving rhythm lines in the verse. 'Phase Shifters' is a no-nonsense banger designed 
to cause dancefloor havoc.

Manifest contributes a remix of 'Overhaul', originally by Semiotix. The remix is a weighty banger, minimal in scope and featuring impactful bass lines mixed with grinding percussion.

Release and Meecha close out the compilation with ‘Pitfall (2021 VIP)’. Here, spine-tingling percussion lines play out underneath distorted motifs, ensuring listeners are left with a track to 
remember.

Known by many for his extensive back catalogue of high profile collaborations, Resound returns to Dispatch for a solo outing – The Space Talk EP.

The Finnish producer is an essential part of drum and bass whose releases span many seminal labels. His unique productions have wide-reaching influence, cementing his position as a true veteran of the scene. Keen to explore his solo output with this project, we are delighted to present this deeply intricate, textural work.

With each track exploring a different aspect of his creative inspiration, they are all unified by the driving, progressive structure and bass weight expertise that make a Resound tune instantly recognisable. Specifically mastered and mixed on analogue gear for that unmistakable warmth, the whole EP is a testament to his years of experience as a highly respected engineer.

Black Barrel 'Please Stop' [Dispatch Recordings]

Starski makes his Codename: RCRDS entrance with 'Old Ghosts EP', which perfectly blends a mix of old skool rave vibes with cutting edge atmospherics.

The EP opens with 'Ghosts', where dreamy pads cross paths with bass stabs and snappy drums, before the stunning 'Clear Vision' drops, with it's warm intro leading into rolling breaks and catch vocal snippets.

Piano-led 'Spellbound' unwinds things further with a deep melancholy feel before 'The Love' closes the EP on a high with its emotive pads and dreamlike atmospherics.

A solid label debut from an artist to watch.

Starski - Ghosts

Bad Pipes closes the Pitch Black EP with a plunge straight into sonic madness. Heavy, lurching 2-step drums set an unsteady pulse as warped textures crack open the mix, dragging you deeper into the dark. Beneath it all, a punishing 808 bassline hammers relentlessly, shaking the foundation with every hit. Minimal, brutal, and pitch-black in atmosphere, this track feels like a broken machine coming alive in the shadows and it does not let you escape.
