Stepping up to the plate for this week's i-DJ is Toronto resident Robotaki aka Preston. The Harry Potter fan works his magic on elements of funk, disco, house and electro-pop, resulting in light-hearted music for those who choose to take life a little less seriously. Kickstart your weekend and delve into Robotaki's world.

"This mix contains some of my own material, a few retrospective pieces and a track called 'We're So Clueless', featured on my forthcoming EP. This is the first time anybody has heard this track so I'm quite excited to share it with this mix. Most of the other tracks are my label buddies at Heavy Disco such as fellow Montreal producer Fonkynson and London based DiscoSocks."

Far west, where the trees have yielded to the howling wind, where the land meets the vast ocean and the scent of seawater thickens the air, you will find it. For hundreds of years the Lighthouse has guided seafarers far from home around the rocky shore, not even once failing its duty. Neither the thickest of fogs nor the blackest of nights are enough to lure the ships towards the treacherous reef.

Waves larger than giants ceaselessly break upon on the rugged brickwork and the raging winds always come back for another battle, but the Lighthouse never succumbs to the wrath of the storms. When the clash between the massive masonry and mighty tempest has settled down, the birds come out to play within the crimson sky. Eternally, like a pillar of fire, even when the air is crystal clear and the waters transform into an endless mirror, the Lighthouse keeps on aiding those in need of guidance.

"Velocity" is the first Stig solo release since 2013’s ambient work "Hydrocycle". A single album length composition in two parts, Velocity is not about speed, it is about movement and displacement.

The music moves through a number of styles and forms, blending classic game sounds with prog rock, fusion and electronic dance music, developing and evolving as it moves forward, only looking back to realize how far it has come.

It plays out as one big cinematic night time adventure in the city, with music that takes you through nightclubs, city streets,
motorways and busy plazas, where the city is defined and laid out before you but the journey is yours and yours alone as a listener.

This is music intended with the scope of a video game, a world for you to exist in and make your own, but set in the real world, an adventure for your ears within the great adventure that is your life.

A purely electronic work diligently programmed one note at a time, setting the classic chipsounds of the MOS Technology SID and YM2612 against the vintage electronic drums of the Roland TR-909 and a contemporary rock and dance sound, Velocity is not merely nostalgia, but music truly for 2015 and for everyone who has grown up in the classic era of gaming.

About a year and a half has passed since @Zantilla's (Adrian Shegstad) Ubiktune debut album "Encounters" was out, and now we're glad to preset for you his next full-length called "Star Bride".

"Star Bride" is funk heavy tribute to Adrian's significant other. It combines early and modern funk influences into a non-stop groovin' chiptune ride. As Adrian himself says, "in other words, it's a motherfunkin' riot".
