Earlier in the week we had the honour of premiering the first of two of Radio Slave's Italo Disco mixes under his DJ Maxxi alias, a pair of mixes that came over 10 years after they were first compiled back in 2002. The second instalment has just arrived with us today so, naturally, you are fully able to stream it in the player below but also you can enjoy some highlights of these mixes as picked by the Rekids boss himself; a handy tool for any of you who've been clucking for some key track IDs.

DJ Maxxi (Radio Slave) -  Energia Buia Mix

TSUZAKI

Born in 1996. He started DJing at Oyafuko Street in Fukuoka.
Although he mainly plays house music, he has a wide range of music, as he was able to hum Bob Marley at the age of 0 and used to play black music in the past.
He has great party skills, which he developed through his experience as a staff member at Keith Flack, a long-established club in Fukuoka.

He moved to Tokyo in 2022 and started the party "PUNCH DRUNKER" at Shimokitazawa ILLAS. His love for music and his vibes are well received. He is working with a smile and peace, aiming for a world where everyone is equally inebriated.


1996年生まれ。親富孝通りにてDJを始める。
ハウスを主軸としながらも、0歳児にしてボブマーリーを口ずさめる環境、ブラックミュージックをプレイしていた過去などから守備範囲が広く、同地の老舗クラブ・キースフラックでのスタッフ経験で鍛え上げたパーティ基礎体力に嘘はない。
2022年に東京へ移住すると、音楽愛を感じるバイブスが評判を呼び、都内各地でパーティを重ねながら、偶数月の週末に下北沢ILLASにてPUNCH DRUNKERを主宰。みな等しく気持ち酔い世界を目指してピースに笑顔で、今日も活動中。

Following the success of his debut album Hidden Places on Pont Neuf Records last year, as well as his recent EPs on Oath and Shall Not Fade, Cosmonection has been on our radar for a guest mix for quite some time. We're very excited to welcome him on board to contribute something special for us as our last mix of 2023.

After starting out throwing a series of illegal raves in London, the parties evolved over time and ended in Arvin running a regular techno night (Bare Minimum) which expanded from a small crowd into a two year residency at London’s Basing House. 

His love for ethnic and tribal instruments is what prevails in his music. The word "deep" is used far too much in electronic music however this mix provides that perfect drugged out yet driving tribal sound we don't get to hear so often.
