Duck The Great Western Engine's Theme Quack Remix

The suite builds upon the preceding prayer "We Will Rise Again", its first breath steeped in solemn stillness. Slowly, a quiet certainty stirs— a rebirth is near. The pleading motifs of the prayer begin to shift, transfigured into a hymn of hope, resonant and radiant, lifting hearts toward the light.

If there was one word I think describes her the best its perseverance: she was effectively taken from the beginning of WWII right into the tail end of Modernisation (give or take 20 years) and sees how bleak the state of her railway was. Even after being basically dumped to Barrow where most undesired engines go and seeing how cynical they all are (including Mary) she makes it a point to raise their spirits instead of moping about doing nothing. She is the kind of engine who wants to be the shoulder everyone can lean on to make them heard and happy, because nothing makes her happier than that.

This track has been a great mixture of things overtime, from scrapped chords, melodies and other bits till I finally decided on the structure to be this way. This was written to be an homage to early 80's Yacht Rock to some degree, using the Rhodes as the primary melodic source here to capture that old analog sound.

Slow Drive

I wanted to create another 'training/showcase' video type of track, the ones you'd normally hear in the background of a commercial or company video showcasing a mall outlet. Also written as a number for an aspiring mall shopping montage in the soundtrack of a movie.

I've been wanting to write some funky jazz weather music for a good while lol. This idea just kinda sprung out of nowhere and I just went along with it. Tbh, with 'Weather Channel' stuff, there is no solid genre. After listening to a few mixes, the variety of music used on those stations and the old Ceefax channels were very versatile.

The Battle of Passchendaele was a major World War I campaign fought by the Allies against the German Empire on the Western Front from July to November 1917.  It is widely remembered as a vivid symbol of the horrific fighting conditions, particularly the deep mud, and immense casualties for minimal strategic gain. The village of Passchendaele was eventually captured by Canadian troops on November 6, 1917, and the nearby ridge was secured by November 10, when the campaign ground to a halt. The advance was a mere five miles, achieved at an enormous cost of an estimated 275,000 to over 400,000 Allied casualties and around 220,000 to 400,000 German casualties. The ground gained was ultimately abandoned by the British in the face of a German offensive the following year. The name "Passchendaele" has since become synonymous with the brutal and often futile nature of trench warfare during the First World War.
