My name is Santi Balbo-Ibanez (He-They) and I am a Melbourne-based singer, songwriter and composer whose work spans synthpop, indie-pop, folk, trip-hop, dance and experimental electronic textures. My music explores themes of identity, displacement, connection, and the emotional undercurrents of everyday life. With a background in playing keys and production I blend lyrical depth with sonic experimentation, crafting songs that are as intimate as they are inventive.
Since emerging on the local scene in 2014 I have released 1 EP and 3 singles and performed at small-scale venues. Currently, I am engaged in several collaborations with other local producers and artists across Melbourne’s indie music scenes, building a sound that is distinctly personal and richly atmospheric.
