"Whispers of the East" is a composition that blends tradition and modernity into a captivating sonic story, designed to transport you through diverse cultural landscapes and profound emotions.

The melody begins with the evocative sound of a Romanian caval, wistfully singing with authentic melancholy, accompanied by the mysterious tones of a bagpipe, all supported by rich African percussion, generated by tribal drums and tabla (an Indian pair of drums). This deep introduction sets the stage for a musical experience where the ancestral meets the contemporary.

As the piece progresses, the music becomes more introspective and contemplative, reflecting a soul filled with suffering and pain. This "dark mood" is not accidental; it speaks of inner struggles, of the pain and melancholy that sometimes weave through our lives. Wah-Wah Walk (Lyrical Alpha)

The remaster on this is very minimal and not only that, the ending because it's such slow paced introspection is left at the same tempo as the original.  At this early time in my tracks when i did repeating sections I didn't very often go to this effort level to make a differing end-section.

Pure of Heart was created during a study session with Nizaar Khan from India (Jodpur - Rajasthan) at my Bergtonstudio. A little jubilation outside the work on an album by Nizaar and me for a meditative world music fusion of Indian traditional elements and the intuitive music of with in the spirit of Markus Stockhausen. This piece is a fusion of traditions from Afghanistan (my frame drum) and the Sarod (played with virtuosity by Nizaar). A piece of pure being and pure of any differences in the cultures. I went with more of an ambient pad idea for the peacefulness of the activity of fishing like we were doing an early 90's PC game around it as a sport or something.  I remembered the fishing holes in Iceland that Sergeant Smith was smirking and describing as 200 USD a day to get a permit during Red Storm Rising by Tom Clancy and that influenced my track art choice.

Wiki says that daydream is a fantasy that a person has while awake.

Daydreaming is the stream of consciousness that detaches from current external tasks when attention drifts to a more personal and internal direction. This phenomenon is common in people's daily life shown by a large-scale study in which participants spend 47% of their waking time on average on daydreaming . There are various names of this phenomenon including mind wandering, fantasy, spontaneous thoughts, etc. Daydreaming is the term used by Jerome L. Singer whose research programs laid the foundation for nearly all the subsequent research in this area today. The list of terminologies assigned by researchers today puts challenges on identifying the common features of the phenomenon, in this case daydreaming, and on building collective work among researchers.

There are many types of daydreams, and there is no consistent definition amongst psychologists, however the characteristic that is common to all forms of daydreaming meets the criteria for mild dissociation. Also, the impacts of different types of daydreams are not identical. While some are disruptive and deleterious, others may be beneficial in some way.

Yes, I'm daydreamer. For this track I used acoustic guitar, oboe and clarinet, upright and supplement it with glockenspiel.

This is a an Armenian folk tune called 'Hovern Elan'. Traditionally it is played on duduk. In this arrangement I play it on a four valves quartertone trumpet.

Not, and this marks its artistic profile, not additively, "side by side". Ullip combines these functions in order to let a new something emerge from them. CDs whose tracks do not preserve and reproduce "played music" as is usually the case. But CDs where the music is created by editing, mixing and recording it "on the fly". The CD as an audience, so to speak. With the great advantage that - in contrast to live sessions - one can enjoy the cuts of the CDs over and over again.
Based on a rich musical experience and an almost "wild" past, Ullip - together with other musicians - has today found a style that activates and inspires a special genre:

'Chained music'.

Sounds and pieces, music and rhythms that are played in a self-inspiring way or created on technical devices. Born in the moment, just like jazz. Also, not only as in jazz, given as a theme, otherwise improvised. Above all, they are not reproductions in the sense of notated notes. All the elements that stand between the first beat and sound of a live gig, a studio recording and the final burning process on a CD are interlinked to create what the "piece" recorded on silver discs ultimately is.
