The Free Music foundation consists of a truly international cast:
Ullip from Germany/Spain on Drums/Percussion
Mark Hewins from England (Margate) on guitar : Mark looks back on a really varied musical past. As a member of "Gong" or collaboration with Lou Reed 
and Phil Collins he has produced many scents in the music world.
Zhiyong Zhang from Hong Kong on saxophone also looks back on a great experience in Asia and works as a music teacher in Hong Kong.
Steven Craven on trumpet has been a member of the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra for many years and has won several awards as best cornet player in  his home country.
Scotty Böttcher from Dresden ist a Master of freestyle Jazz on Organ,Keyboards, Mallet and Bass. He made  a lot of international Projects .
This mixture of the music rebel Ullip with decades of experience in Instand composing, the highly innovative sound tinkerer and outstanding Mark Hewins
 on guitar, the brilliantly playing Zhang on saxophone with his passion for jazz, coupled with the unique playing style of Steven Craven on flugelhorn, results in a fresh new way of creating jazz. This recording was produced in Ullip's Bergton studio in Andalusia.

"The melody of rhythm" - "Percussion drives emotions": this is a musical arc of tension that goes far beyond the boundaries of the usual. The percussionist Ullip is on the one hand inspired by diverse influences such as world music and jazz, classical and experimental, but always seeks and finds his own way to express moods in tempos and feelings in the specific sound of the percussion instruments

Not, and this marks its artistic profile, not additively, "side by side". Ullip combines these functions in order to let a new something emerge from them. CDs whose tracks do not preserve and reproduce "played music" as is usually the case. But CDs where the music is created by editing, mixing and recording it "on the fly". The CD as an audience, so to speak. With the great advantage that - in contrast to live sessions - one can enjoy the cuts of the CDs over and over again.
Based on a rich musical experience and an almost "wild" past, Ullip - together with other musicians - has today found a style that activates and inspires a special genre:

'Chained music'.

Sounds and pieces, music and rhythms that are played in a self-inspiring way or created on technical devices. Born in the moment, just like jazz. Also, not only as in jazz, given as a theme, otherwise improvised. Above all, they are not reproductions in the sense of notated notes. All the elements that stand between the first beat and sound of a live gig, a studio recording and the final burning process on a CD are interlinked to create what the "piece" recorded on silver discs ultimately is.
