The Alkaline EP associates the works of AES Dana (Vincent Villuis) and MIKTEK (Mihalis Aikaterinis), the second chapter in a series of three. 
Skilful blend of granular soils, earthy glitches, oxydised rhythms & basslines flowing into diaphanous & breathing pads. 
These 3 new chapters explore the Minimal Ambient & Liquid Drum'n'Bass structures to in fine propose a cinematic and out of time chronicle, switching from quiet territories to ultra-modern violence.

The composition of this Far & Off album began after on long period of detachment and isolation. 

This modern life we lead tends to saturate many of us with information, constant stimuli of all kinds and shatter time, as if we lived in small sequences. Some of us content themselves with that, some manage to regulate or tighten the flow, others collapse or pretend not to. 

I guess I'm not the only one to ever feel the need to fly away, remove myself from the ongoing swirl and purely vanish. 
It wasn’t a matter of waking up with a sudden urge, it built up, slowly, between the lines, it wasn’t caused by any philosophical, spiritual or religious belief either. It simply became a natural answer to the surrounding frenzy. 

To be on my own, far, in another context, without technology, an act of protection. Taste real solitude, a state in which no one else exists; cross the line, change rhythm and feel the passing of time. 
This is what I am sharing with you now, with keys and sounds, pads and patterns, glitches and drums. My desire was to compose contrasted tales, to bring light on the paradox, from one extreme to the other, harshness to tranquility. 

Mihalis, as he encountered a similar situation was keen on putting those emotions into music and the perfect partner as it turned out.

The Nebulae live session took place in February 2016 at the Zeiss Planetarium in Bochum, Germany and presented performances by Ultimae artists with a special dome projection by Tobias Wiethoff.

Martin Nonstatic opened his live performance with "Into the Nebulae" a brand new work to introduce a spaced out exploration of his Granite album. All tracks were fully reworked to create a vaster atmosphere to fill the dome. You'll recognise the spirit, the story is something else!

22:22 is a collaborative split album born of the musical encounter between Moscow-based composers Maxim Tsibizov aka Noraus and Sergey Akimov aka Cubering. He has shown himself as a talented composer in the genre of “cosmic” chillout and won the love of many fans around the world after releasing Journey To The Core Of The Galaxy album on Microcosmos Records.

The airy and soft sound of The Return brings calmness and peace into the listener’s mind, the dreamy and slightly melancholic mood of the tracks soothes the soul. It is with a passion that borders with stubbornness that Eddie A, running also under the name of ea or Eddie Allamand is evolving into music. Unconditional lover of trip-hop, abstract hip-hop and nu-jazz, the swiss producer and musician explores various styles and influences. Between 2011 and 2013, he self-released three albums based on a downtempo and melancholic-but-full-of-hope vibe, mixing organic and electronic elements with original instrumental lines and a touch of classical influences. In 2017, he founded the music label Diffract Records with the goal of releasing authentic projects by authentic artists coming from his area and beyond. The same year, he released his fourth album 'Quiet Understanding', a project composed on a lounge and ambient basis, drawing influences from trip-hop, electronica and world music. As well as his productions, his dj sets hover above different emotions and colors, alternating phases of introspection and sharing. Over the last years, he mixed at different festivals and venues in Switzerland, including Le Zoo, La Gravière, Les Docks, Hacienda, Weekend Au Bord de l'Eau Festival.. and sharing the stage with great artists like Doctor Flake, Christian Löffler, DeeB, Dser, idle, Sam Maryu, KDN & kreaem, Costals, DJ Madcap and many more. A nice amount of his mixes are findable online.
Expressing himself through many forms, Eddie A also likes to capture and edit videos to faithfully illustrate the universe of his music. He is highly active in the project edNbo aswell, delivering mixes and vinyl rips mostly with sounds from the early years of Trip-Hop to keep on the culture spreading through ages.

Jedi’s Chillout | Eddie A

Derived from the Latin “Ultimae Terrae,” meaning “the furthest places,” the name Ultimae reflects a profound theme of exploration. This concept is at the heart of Ultimae Records, an ambient music record label and publisher dedicated to transporting listeners to the outer edges of experience through sound and offering a space for introspection and discovery within the vastness of the mind and beyond.

In 1999, Vincent Villuis and Sandrine Gryson, also known as AES Dana and Mahiane, united over a shared passion for the immersive world of electronic music. This collaboration led to the birth of the label. Initially envisioned as a musical portal, Ultimae’s mission was to explore and disseminate the diverse expressions of Ambient music far and wide through the production of records and the establishment of an online shop.

Over the years, Ultimae has expanded beyond its original scope, evolving into a multifaceted company with sound design, post-production, and mastering studios based in Lyon, France, along with professional services in publishing, music licensing, and synchronization.
