In order to raise awareness of the needs of indigenous peoples, we are happy to be part of this great initiative and to join forces with our amazing colleagues from different parts of the world to celebrate 'International Indigenous Peoples' Day'. 
 Indigenous peoples are inheritors and practitioners of unique cultures and ways of relating to people and the environment. They have retained social, cultural, economic, and political characteristics that are distinct from those of the dominant societies in which they live.  
 Covid-19 and its consequences are keeping the whole world on alert. For more than a year now, we have been seeing new waves of outbreaks in several countries and regions of the world. In this sense, 500 million indigenous people, in urban or rural areas of the planet are also at risk because of their social vulnerability. The risk of indigenous genocide in the midst of the pandemic is dizzying and can have serious consequences since viruses and diseases of this type have contributed to reducing the world's indigenous population over the centuries.

Thus, several podcast channels have joined forces to celebrate 'International Indigenous Peoples' Day'. This with a focus on donations for indigenous peoples affected by Covid-19 in Brazil led and managed by 'United for a Living Amazon', a volunteer movement made up of citizens and non-governmental organizations that have been working in the Amazon for decades, united for a common and urgent cause. C'est comme un conte,
Une histoire qu'on chuchote quand les paupières s'enlacent 
Un murmure que l'on entends parfois quand on tends l'oreille aux forêts et aux pierres mouillées. 
 

C'est un mouvement qui s'éveille
Comme une vague qui prend forme quelque part entre le cœur et le poumons
Quelque chose qui respire pour nous
malgré nous

C'est un cri qu'on ne dis pas où alors seulement avec le corps 
C'est une libération qui s'exprime, une justice qu'on se donne, une liberté que l'on se grave dans la peau à la nuit tombée 


C'est des mondes fantastiques et des jours meilleurs qu'on entrevois dans les interstices, quand l'ordre établi est allé se coucher, et qu'il ne reste que les résistantes au milieu des lumières qui clignotent  et du jour qui se lève

C'est le bruit des frontières qui s'estompent et des réalités qui basculent. Une ligne qu'on gomme entre la fiction et la réalité, mais as t elle seulement un jour existé. 


C'est des peurs qui s'évanouissent dans la nuit, la brume et la musique, des découvertes qu'on fait sur soi quand personne ne regarde, et qu'on collectionne dans une boîte rangée sous le plexus.

C'est une cabane perchée dans les cimes de notre inconscient, et qui se rit des tempêtes et des orages car elle parle aux nuages et est un refuge pour nos cœurs épuisés. 

C'est un songe qu'on a oublié d'oublier, une fois éveillé
Une image rémanente faite d'échos bizarres et doux que certaines appellent des rêves et que moi j'appelle de l'espoir

Don Mescal, is a Montreal-based electronic DJ & Producer with more than 20 years of experience. He can be seen as a magician of musical diversity, a character full of energy & love, who has a huge repertoire of songs that will catch your senses and awakens your emotions. Inspired by folkloric multiculturalism, he loves to experiment with the traditions of world music and knows how to transfer it into a modern perspective to brew an electronic-music-elixir with that extra drop of mescal flavour. His unique musical voyage combines a well-selected myriad of styles from Folktronica, Rub-a-Dub, Jungle & Tribal with a joyfully flamboyant vibe.
