Opening this edition, Anastasiia Slustska sets the tone with a slow-burning, dub-influenced set. Spacious, textural, and deliberately paced, her selection draws from the outer edges of techno and ambient, at the soundsystem meeting point.

In the second hour, resident Fran Domingo (Hakk) picks up the thread and gradually tightens the focus. His mix builds tension through ambient sounds, charred breakbeat, chugging electro, and lisergic chants of the rave continuum.

Matt is the author of The Psychedelic DJ: A Practical Guide to Therapeutic Music Curation and Psilocybin-Assisted Therapy (https://a.co/d/3Rj3G4r), a guide for facilitators and psychonauts that combines DJ techniques, counseling, music curation, and psychedelic therapy. As a seasoned DJ, mental health counselor, and psychedelic guide, his work sits at the crossroads of music, healing, and expanded consciousness.

With over 30 years of experience exploring sound and psychedelics—from pioneering New York City’s early ’90s psytrance scene to cofounding the techno/house label Railyard Recordings—Matt eventually shifted his focus from nightlife to clinical psychology. Today, he runs Integrated Psychedelics (https://integratedpsychedelics.com), a private practice dedicated to guided journeywork, preparation, and integration support for psychedelic experiences.

In Matt's words:

"Psilocybin Therapy Protocol 2: The Shadow" is the second part of a four-hour DJ mix series I've created from hundreds of live psychedelic therapy sessions. Following Protocol 1 – The Light (available via ASIP's Isolated Mix Series at https://tinyurl.com/isolatedmix132), which focused on major chords and sublimation, this sequel encourages deeper exploration using minor chord progressions to uncover hidden aspects of the psyche.

Structured around the shared arc of the Hero’s Journey & psilocybin mushroom experience (departure, initiation, return) these mixed protocols blend ambient textures, cinematic scores, and pulses of techno/house to support inner transformation. An ideal tool for guided sessions, solo journeys, or deep listening.

Starting as a label that served basically as a platform for their friends’ music in 2010, Uncanny Valley evolved into a record label that assembles acclaimed artists from the electronic music scene not only from the label’s base in Dresden but also from Germany and beyond. With a strong emphasis on the records’ artwork the label heads Philipp Demankowski, Conrad Kaden and Carl-Johannes Schulze are constantly on a mission to establish and refine the artists from the roster as well as to search for new talents. Artists as Jacob Korn, Cuthead, Credit 00, Massimiliano Pagliara, CVBox or Panthera Krause all feel at home on the label, giving them the chance to develop projects that are not only music related but can also integrate different art forms. With the two offshoots Rat Life and shtum under its belt, Uncanny Valley does not stand still to explore the full spectrum of electronic and not so electronic music from House via Disco, Hip-Hop or Ambient through to Techno.
