Currently, Shannon hosts the Club Management Podcast where she chats with artists and music industry execs about how they are changing their communities through music. Mars Kasei is a producer, DJ and vocalist based in Oakland, California. Mars is inspired heavily by fast beats and global underground club music. Mars infuses her tracks with atmospheric vocals and melodic sequences while also including persuasive bass elements reflective of the music in the underground that inspires her. She recently released a track with Deeplinkin, “DarkWhite” on Worst Behavior and also featured on a track, “Mars” with Qrion on Anjunadeep. Mars has self released most of her EPs and has a new EP coming out on Samsara Beats this year. Mars Kasei’s mix features some of her favorite artists and friends globally in bass/club music while including a few of her own tracks as well.

Mojo provides an energetic mix, showcasing what talented producers are able to do with a nice break. In the mix he blends breakbeat, with electro and jungle. He makes good use of old school sounds such as acid, classic rave stabs, tape delays and the amen break. Along the old school he got new school interpretations of the older sound. Mojo likes forward thinking music and good mixdowns, with an old school touch. Thats why we think his mix enriches our guestmix palette.

Whilst a well-known force in underground bass in New Zealand for some time, Paige Julia is now being embraced by the global music community as one of the very profound artists emanating from the south pacific island’s thriving Drum and Bass scene. 

In the run up to her Dreams EP out on Unchained this June, we asked Paige to put together a special mix for us. Packed with plenty of her own dubs, this is a rich selection of both the elegant and tastefully dirty end of jungle, half-time and drum'n'bass.

王若迷 (Wong Yeuk Mai) hails from Hong Kong and grew up on the front row of nu-metal band shows and has deep roots in heavy-weight music. Her musical taste was shaped by the early days of attending Psychedelic Trance gatherings by Psyonic Boom in 2013 and DnB nights by Heavy Hong Kong. After listening to lots of bass music she was inspired to DJ in 2014; from then on she has been keeping herself busy with gigs.

王若迷's specialty is Hi-Tech at 180bpm+. Her selection aim was to first make herself dance, but now the new direction in recent days is to express more of her musical tastes.

Her heavy and naughty style is well received in the Hong Kong underground DnB and psytrance scene - there are no signs of stopping for 王若迷.

From UK Bass, Dancehall and Dub to his unrelenting spate of Halftime flips of tracks by artists such as Calibre, Flowdan and Dillinja, Madd’s output has come a long way since his first vinyl release in 2008. 

Attracting followers such as Skream, Mary Anne Hobbs and David Rodigan, Unchained Recordings is incredibly excited to be a part of the growth of Madd’s unique take on Jungle, Dub fusion and beat-driven electronic.

Following 2018’s “Pathways” Jim Coles aka Om Unit aka Philip D Kick adds some shine and sparkle to his already near perfect and persistent formula. Coles remains dedicated to blurring the lines and joining the dots. As we continue . . .

‘Drips’ sets the pace and opens the flood gates with a flowing groove and lingering bass womps like condensation off a low ceiling. ‘160909313’ steamrolls through with a constant Turbo drum machine drive accelerated by a non stop rolling bass riff. The doors are well and truly blown off in ‘Funk 160’ as a planet rocking breakbeat and infectious chord stabs set the pace with confidence and class. Balmy pads caress a lazy groove in ‘Summer Moods’ and conjure feelings of long evenings and ever lasting sunsets. The Riviera is all bit crushed pads and elite level breakbeat science while you enjoy the passing vistas. ’Clouds’ brings this episode to a close with a smooth glide through the stratosphere and beyond with 4/4 kicks and luscious bass arp.

'This record for me reflects the ongoing conversation between cultures and styles where jungle meets footwork meets techno, 3 cultures that share more in common than perhaps people realise, and for me this is more of a in-depth exploration for example of sonic tropes more prevalent in the world of Detroit techno than other previous records. 'Clouds' and '160909313' for example being somewhat of an homage to Detroit, the birthplace of techno, yet another black music that changed the world.' - Philip D Kick / Om Unit

The Dreamers Recordings is proud to introduce you to Harka and its first release on The Dreamers “Days Thinkin’ EP”. Harka is a UK based talented producer and dj, he is constantly exploring 160 to 170bpm music with a clear reference to the footwork, old school jungle and ravey spectrum of sounds. These 4 tracks perfectly describe its musical research and show its great capabilities in programming and producing.
“Body Talkin’ ” opens the EP with an excellent mixture of footwork drums and ravey sounds combined with heavy basses and culminating into an addictive rhythm.
“Days Thinkin’ “ gives the name to the EP is a more relaxed tune, that makes a clever use of jazz samples, combined with a drum pattern evolving along the track. This tune fits perfectly in the Dreamers catalogue with chill footwork jungle sounds. 
“45” goes straight to the dancefloor with an aggressive rhythm based on heavy kicks that will make everybody jump, the track finally evolves into an interesting halfstep section that is enriched with ragga vocals.
“Haste” makes clever use of iconic drum machine claps and other samples combined with a synth melody to build an addictive and intriguing atmosphere that evolves into a strings chord progressions in its second part.

Harka brings together a melancholy mixture combining elements between the best retro riddims with a futuristic flare. Based in the UK, this Yorkshire lad intends to pull your heart strings with evocative melodies, intense rhythms and sassy hook-lines. His signature hybrid production style incorporates influences spanning the ocean of underground bass music from the UK, to the USA and beyond.
