Shannon is a DJ, writer, and podcaster based in New York City. Previously she owned CREAM Club in Chongqing, China, and has spent the last 5 years touring throughout Asia. Currently, Shannon hosts the Club Management Podcast where she chats with artists and music industry execs about how they are changing their communities through music. The show has featured some amazing conversations with guests including Chicago Footwork legend TRAXMAN, TYGAPAW, the Jersey Club queen UNIIQU3 and Ray Barney who is the founder of legendary Chicago House Music label Dance Mania.

Unchained Mix Series 039 by Shannon (US)

Mars Kasei is a producer, DJ and vocalist based in Oakland, California. Mars is inspired heavily by fast beats and global underground club music. Mars infuses her tracks with atmospheric vocals and melodic sequences while also including persuasive bass elements reflective of the music in the underground that inspires her. She recently released a track with Deeplinkin, “DarkWhite” on Worst Behavior and also featured on a track, “Mars” with Qrion on Anjunadeep. Mars has self released most of her EPs and has a new EP coming out on Samsara Beats this year. Mars Kasei’s mix features some of her favorite artists and friends globally in bass/club music while including a few of her own tracks as well.

Mojo provides an energetic mix, showcasing what talented producers are able to do with a nice break. In the mix he blends breakbeat, with electro and jungle. He makes good use of old school sounds such as acid, classic rave stabs, tape delays and the amen break. Along the old school he got new school interpretations of the older sound. Mojo likes forward thinking music and good mixdowns, with an old school touch. Thats why we think his mix enriches our guestmix palette.

Unchained Mix Series 041 by Mojo (DE)

Whilst a well-known force in underground bass in New Zealand for some time, Paige Julia is now being embraced by the global music community as one of the very profound artists emanating from the south pacific island’s thriving Drum and Bass scene. 

In the run up to her Dreams EP out on Unchained this June, we asked Paige to put together a special mix for us. Packed with plenty of her own dubs, this is a rich selection of both the elegant and tastefully dirty end of jungle, half-time and drum'n'bass.

Unchained Mix Series 042 by Paige Julia (NZ)

王若迷 (Wong Yeuk Mai) hails from Hong Kong and grew up on the front row of nu-metal band shows and has deep roots in heavy-weight music. Her musical taste was shaped by the early days of attending Psychedelic Trance gatherings by Psyonic Boom in 2013 and DnB nights by Heavy Hong Kong. After listening to lots of bass music she was inspired to DJ in 2014; from then on she has been keeping herself busy with gigs.

王若迷's specialty is Hi-Tech at 180bpm+. Her selection aim was to first make herself dance, but now the new direction in recent days is to express more of her musical tastes.

Her heavy and naughty style is well received in the Hong Kong underground DnB and psytrance scene - there are no signs of stopping for 王若迷.
